He is not a bad fighter never has been, he has weakness but he could easily win this fight vs jds. People are treating the reem how they treated bigfoot and I would be surprised at all when overeem wins.

I'll take that bet On another note though, Overeem has been heard of. He was on that idiot Michael Landsberg's show but the fight wasn't even brought up but he has mentioned it on Twitter some. No excuses yet though. We all know he underestimated Bigfoot regardless of how anyone (including Bas) looks at it.

Agreed, although I think he's better than Frank Mir at this point still (no Mir hate, I think he's great)

A lot of Overeems hardcore fans act like he didn't have a fighting career before 2008. While I do think he has definitely improved his skillset since the Pride days, he still makes rookie mistakes (getting KOd while showboating for example). He's not some 20 year old kid, at this point in his career the whole "Oh don't worry about it, he'll improve and get him in the rematch" isn't good enough anymore imo. He's skilled enough to beat most HWs, but he makes mistakes during fights and folds easily. That's the main problem with him.

I like Overeem and I would be rooting for him to get back on track with a win if he wasn't fighting JDS. I also would have my money on him in a rematch with Silva, although Silva can definitely knock him out again as well.
