    gained 3lbs in first week of bulk ????

    how could i gained 3lbs of weight in 1 week while only eating 300 cal surplus its putting me off bulking,

    advice ??

    1 week is far to short a time to judge. It is probably mostly water weight give it at least 2 more weeks and weight gain will stabilise.Then you can adjust as needed.

    It's glycogen. Not all of our weight is either fat or muscle, it's either body fat or fat-free mass. That's why when you go in a calorie surplus you lose like 5 pounds in a week. Don't worry about it, and learn how your body reacts when you increase carbs by this much.
