I don't think this particular website would be the best place to try and sell a piece of equipment like that... try Craigslist or Ebay
Shouldn't you be lifting something heavy instead of reading this?

How about just dieing.
Yea, Joaniken.....just die.
Third time in a week, actually its the fifth...you reposted the first two times. Its time for you to die. You suck.
If you won't die, then I would appreciate it if the mods would ban him and (not that it matter to this duche) but everyone else should neg.
I prefer death. But there are complications with that, so banning will be acceptable.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

Move the decimal two places to the left, ship it to me and I'll take it.
Joining a non-comercial board for the express purpose of peddling your stuff is amazingly rude. I'm surprised it isn't banworthy. :shrug:Last edited by Wildtim; 01-14-2009 at 03:07 PM.

Wow, just happened upon this site years after I posted this. It was a simple ad with surprisingly negative results on this site. Sold it quickly through craigs list. I had another one. Takes up little space, works fine. Good for the days I just can't make it to the gym. Still prefer the motion of working out with free weights, but for a home back up set up I love it. Some of you need to find a new hobby other than being pointless rude idiots online.

Eh, I have another hobby too - working out with actual decent equipment. But I already finished my workout for the day, so I have time...
This forum IS NOT CRAIGSLIST.
On top of that, you apprently kept posting the same thing, over and over.
On top of that, that looks like one of the worst pieces of "exercise" equipment I've ever seen. I'm surprise it didn't show up in the hall of shame thread.
On top of that, you might expect people on a bodybuilding.com workout equipment forum to be able to tell the difference between a good piece of equipment and a horrible one. So either you don't realize that you were selling something horrible, or you thought WE were not smart enough to realize you were selling something horrible. If you still have one, I gather it's the former. Either way, it's not going to make anyone around here happy, now is it?
So yeah, I'm not surprised you got a hostile response.
If you actually want to learn something, you should LURK MOAR, read some stickies, and educate yourself on workout equipment (or whatever else your interest might be).
For instance, from Wikipedia, and I frankly suspect this is too kind to static-contraction training:
"Comparison with dynamic exercises
Isometric exercises have some differences in training effect as compared to dynamic exercises. While isometric training increases strength at the specific joint angles of the exercises performed and additional joint angles to a lesser extent, dynamic exercises increase strength throughout the full range of motion.[5] More recent research has reinterpreted this phenomenon: Every skill has a specific strength component that must be practiced with the skill itself.[citation needed] Thus, while a strengthened isometric bench press won't improve a dynamic bench press, neither will a stronger dynamic bench press improve any other athletic skill.[citation needed]
NASA studies
NASA has researched the use of isometrics in preventing muscle atrophy experienced by astronauts as a result of living in a zero gravity environment. Isometrics, muscle lengthening and muscle shortening exercises were studied and compared. The outcome showed that while all three exercise types did indeed promote muscle growth, isometrics failed to prevent a decrease in the amount of contractile proteins found in the muscle tissue. The result was muscle degradation at a molecular level. As contractile proteins are what cause muscles to contract and give them their physical strength, NASA has concluded that isometrics may not be the best way for astronauts to maintain muscle tissue.[6]"
But I'm sure you're not here to learn, just to badmouth the forum for daring to give a hostile response when you treated this forum like Craigslist and tried to sell bad equipment to people who know better. So I'm happy to join in the chorus of hostile responses.
You can go away again now, secure in your knowledge that we're all terrible people, and that you've now fully confirmed it.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I have to admit....I did tell the dude to die. Without context...that seems a bit harsh.
Joaniken....somewhere down deep I'm really happy that my online rudeness doesn't have the power to kill.
Now..... EADAD.
