Pretty basic question. Instead of saying that I am going to eat X number of calories per day, does it work just as well to say X number of calories per week?
1-2 days on the weekend are shot for me, since I like to go out drinking with friends (sometimes this involves eating extra too). Is it alright to compensate for this by having fewer calories on the other 5-6 days?
For example, if my goal calories are 2200 per day (15,400 per week). Will:
Eating 1800 calories five days a week and 3200 calories two days a week, have the same/similar results as eating 2200 calories seven days a week?
I suppose the one argument could be that I'm eating less calories on lifting days, so that could affect my workouts.

This is what I usually do. I don't really have "cheat" days per say with food. I just plan it all for booze and sometimes late night food, the latter of which is often very important I skip since it's so easy to go overboard, especially living in NYC. None tonight for me though - everyone out of town for holiday weekend

There's a little about it in that thread. It's nothing earth shattering, and when I tell people around my town what I did to lose it they are usually disappointed that I don't have some magic trick. It was just calorie counting, will power, and patience.^^Former 400+lb Crew^^
