    Unhappy How to bulk.

Hello, I'm a 17 year old male. I weigh approx. 130-135lbs,. I want to get big, because I'm quite skinny and everything I eat burns off of me. So I heard bulking can get you bigger, and what I've heard, you have to eat surplus of extra calories, which I'm trying to do. The problem is, people say if you eat to much you'll get fat and won't build muscle, and others say otherwise. So should I worry about getting fat? I thought I'd ask guys with experience, and I do not know how to count calories so don't say that. Thanks.

If you eat too much you will get fat but you will also be building muscle. Thing is you can gain only a certain amount of muscle in a certain amount of time so eating too much isnt necessary and you can gain the same amount of muscle without gaining the unwanted fat. Positive side to eating overboard is you always have a lot of energy and you will prob be lifting heavier and strength gains will come faster. If your not working out for strength only try eating a bit more then you need and if you dont want to count calories at least guesstimate them. Also be sure to get your proteins and you should be fine. Also remember LIFT HEAVY!

Find out what your maintance calories are and add 300 - 500 calories to them. Dont eat too much you will get fat otherwise. Focus on eating enough protein and fats and fill the rest out with carbs.

Use this to find your TDEE. -> http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
Add a 10% caloric surplus to that number. The number you get with the surplus is the number of calories you need to eat everyday (roughly.)
Get 1g of protein and 0.4g of fat per lb of bodyweight. The rest of your calories can be made up of whatever combination of protein/fat/carbs you wish.
Aim to gain around 0.5lb - 1lb of weight weekly. Any more than that and you're likely to gain more fat than necessary on a bulk. Goodluck OP.
    On the grind.
