if jordan played today he wouldnt be the worst player in the league. That fact in itself says that he isnt 'old'. i dont think of him as old. i think of him as ideal for his age. hes still a damn good athlete. he could have played a few more years on the wizards if he wanted, but he chose to go out before he became an average player.

Could you provide reasons why instead of just posting the '92 Dream Team? I provided very good reasons why I think they players today could handle the 90's throughout the thread.
Cliff notes if you're too lazy:
-zone defense/team defense of today>>>>>hand checking or hard hits (I even provided an article and quotes by Jordan)
-average ppg for teams in the 80's and 90's was much higher (teams today resorting to jumpshooting is indicative of the effectiveness of zone defense; if the paint was so tough to attack back then, then why the phuck weren't there more jumpshooting?)
-you could only double team in the past if the opposing player had the ball, today zone defenses allows easier double teaming, traps, etc...

I get that.
but do you not agree with the bolded? do you think all of these little cheap shots the GOAT has been taking at LJ coincidentally happens to be during one of the most impressive stretches ever? I would find it hard to believe that anybody truly thinks MJ is doing all this without the slightest perception of threat sensed.

Obviously he is trying to overrate his era because it makes him look better. There are plenty of guys in today's NBA that would be just as good (if not better) in the 80s and 90s. Zone defense is a tougher defensive rule than handchecking. Handchecking doesn't really affect good players as much as it affects the one's who can't create on their own. Hell, even in today's NBA you will find plenty of instances of handchecking going on that isn't being called just because it doesn't give the defensive player that much of an advantage and if it were called it would ruin the flow of the game.
Is he trying to say that CP3, Durant, Melo, Kevin Garnett, etc... wouldn't be superstars in his era?

This probably soured Jordan on Melo:
Throws a sucker punch and then runs away from the Nate Robinson.
The "bad boys" era Pistons would have eaten him alive.
Also, a 50 year old Jordan beat Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in a game of one on one last week:

The league was WORSE by a large margin back then. Lol @ all these 22 and 23 year olds talking about "you didn't watch", oh and you know better? The age argument is so pathetic. As if footage of the entire era doesn't exist?
