I have a 1500 word writeup of the transformation here for those who are interested in reading about the journey.
http://www.thehealthygamer.com/2013/...y-asian-gamer/Deep inside you there is a burning desire for greatness. Maybe you don’t want to be the next Mr. Olympia or president of the United States, but there is something great that you’ve always wanted to accomplish. Maybe you’ve dreamed of traveling the world, writing a book, or becoming an artist. Maybe you want to own your own restaurant. Maybe your dream is to be a rock-star but you became an accountant because that was the safe path.
Fear. Fear of failure, fear of disappointment, fear of the unknown. Fear is what keeps us bound, gagged, and immobile. But let me ask you this: how fulfilled are you after decades of living a “safe” and “conventional” life? You already know where this path leads. Be fearless. Take risks. He who dares, wins.
I for one would rather die young in the pursuit of my dreams than die old, comfortable, and unfulfilled. Will you choose the safe path of a slow death, or risk it all for your heart’s desire?
Throwing out random reps for posters in this thread, also feel free to ask questions about diet/training/self-development whatnot.
Get motivated brothers(and sisters)!

I just got to the point that every hour I logged in the game felt like a complete drain and waste of my life. After playing for years I realized that none of the accomplishments i'd worked so hard toward in game held any real meaning for me. I still game but it's more of a hour here, half an hour there deal. Pretty much bulked till I was 22 and 215, then cut for 9 months to 187. SInce then I've stayed a fairly constant 195-200 ish. Cutting again just so I can be ripped as fuark on youtube haha.

187 in your avi and the "after" part of the video? Regardless, that is one hell of a transformation. I appreciate that you took the time to acknowledge mental fulfillment in the video as well. Will you be linking to YouTube updates via the site as well, or are you keeping that separate? I'd be interested in following your work if you're going to keep up with this.

Used to play WoW as well, amazing transformation, repped.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Wow, very inspiring. I used to play WoW way too much, always had this feeling like I was meant to do something more. Finally struck me that it's not going to happen until I get up and change something.

Vanilla WoW was a Warrior (main tank in end game, MC and BWL were my favorite raids ever).
Burning Crusade was a Warlock.
Then in Wrath made another Warrior and main tanked all the way through ICC.
Edit- I played off and on over the years, quit for good after patch 4.1.Last edited by gbullock32; 02-16-2013 at 04:36 AM.

Ex wow addict checking in
After wow was a shtty wife.
6 years after football in high school I'm trying to get my body right.
Sitting at 18.5% bf now. 6' 183 pounds. I'm stuck bulking. I try and eat as much as I can that's still healthy and my weight is not going up. Just put up 185x2 twice today for the first time on bench. Any advice on my bulk? Should I stop being concerned about what I eat and just eat everything?
Also amazing transformation brah.

I'm working through my balance of time now. It is rough because I start and then blink, BAM its midnight. To combat this, my friends and I gym right after work. So far I have droped 10% bf and 10 lbs. I'm in my second week of cutting and have just had some great lifting sessions. Sure, I do not have as much time for games now but I think it is worth it. Best of luck!

HAHA, well look at that.
I figure you for a bodybuilding.com user from the way you were posting on the Path of Exile forums. Been working on a build to post to see if I can maybe win them headphones! Been out of the gym for over 3 months doing physical therapy and such to rebuild my back… not sure what I did but it sucked. Just getting into the gym now doing some total body work to really get my back into working order before hitting the heavy weights again. The worst is getting my body re-use to impact exercises like running and jump rope. Since I am not ready for multiple gym days in a row it has given me time to theory craft. Hoping to get this build finished and posted by the end of this weekend cause full time gym isn’t too far off if I keep progressing the way I have been.
Also you got some nice recipes on your website. I did in fact steal a few of them. Great job with your results and overall a perfect example of how people can still game + be healthy!

I do have a question though.
I've noticed that between 2006 and 2008, it's like you gained 25lbs of pure muscle...
(Summer 2006 you look like 15%bf, and 2008 you're 6%)
Sorry I don't want to sound like a hater but I've been told numerous times that someone with a few years of experience
can only gain like 6-9lbs max per year in Pure lean muscle??

I'm trying to remember how much I weighed in all those years... Summer of 2005 to Summer 2006 I went from 155-175. Summer 2006 to Summer 2007 I went from 175 to 195. Summer 2007 to Jan 2008 I got up to 215(a LOT of that was fat gain, I was eating an entire box of pasta per meal at dinner). And then I cut down to 187. So if we were looking at pure lean body mass gained I'd say 2006-2007 probably 10lbs and 2007-2008 probably another 10-11lbs. I dirty bulked the fuk up because I had that mindset since I was an ecto that I NEEDED to eat as much as possible of everything to put on the weight.
I mean it worked, but, if I did it again I'd go clean and shoot for maybe gaining .5 to 1lb a month.
