    Want a bench shirt...

I want to buy a bench shirt, but I don't know how to measure to tell what size to get, and what site to buy it from? I want as best of one that I can get for an okay price.

I would give OP the answer to his questions, but this stopped me. OP, don't use a shirt to give you what you don't have. Spend the time in the gym to do what you have to do to get stronger. If you aren't strong before a shirt, you won't have a good time in one.

A shirt is like a paper weight on your body, and a weak body will be like loose leaf for that paper weight......you want to be the whole notebook.
    ALL SINGLE PLY @ 163
    GYM.........................MEET............GOALS
    SQ-550.......................501.............585
    BP-375.......................369.............402
    DL-505.......................479.............525

    605lbs. reverse band squat.
    450lbs. reverse band bench.

    Go Dawgs!

On the road to an eventual 1450 pounds equipped total at 163 pounds body weight.

a shirt with a 185 pound bench. yeah OP your priorities are super messed up, not hating just saying what is really obvious. i agree with starting strength or stronglifts for at least 6 months.. then come back and we can help you some more.

Which part? You don't understand why they're discouraging him?

Basically he bench presses 185 @ 205 lb. They're just advocating that he walks before he runs.

A shirt that would allow weights around 200lbs to touch the chest would have to be very loose and therefor could only maybe net 20-30lbs of carryover. OP should be able to gain that much strength in a few months with a decent program.

I don't think there's a single shirt on the market that you could touch with 200 and get anything over 200 for most people who aren't pretty skilled shirt benchers.

One guy I know has to spend all year working at exactly 275 because he can't touch 270 and he can't press 280

That is nuts! Seems like some bands, board and chains would help drastically. You'd think you could mess with the collar/sleeves and manipulate more wiggle room than that.
