    A little confused...

I've been cutting for about a month now. I'm 5' 6.5" and I started at 157 lbs. I'm now 147.5, so almost a 10 lb loss. I think I'm an endomorph since I've always had a decent amount of fat on me (and still look pretty soft). Here's where I'm a little confused. I started cutting with a 1700 cal diet and lost 4 lbs the first week, so I've upped the calories to 1800 since then. I've been lifting 4 days a week and running usually 3 days a week (some 20 min cardio, others HIIT for 10 min). Also, I don't take any fat burners. This past week I was really lazy and didn't run at all, but I still lost 2 lbs. So, what's the deal? I thought endomorphs have a real hard time losing weight? If I still lose the 2lbs a week, is it better not to do the cardio and let the diet and lifting help with the weight loss to help minimize my muscle loss?

anyone can lose weight, all you'd need to do would be to starve yourself.

now losing bodyfat, that's where being an endomorph, ectomorph, etc. can come in.

Ok, so I meant "losing fat" not "losing weight." I haven't lost much muscle at all from the looks of it. My bodyfat was at least 17% when I started. It's 12% now.

at your current weight i wouldn't try to lose any more pounds. just hit it working out and running, and your body fat will go down further as you build muscle.

do squats and deadlifts, a bunch of them will make your muscle come on a lot better than you'd have thought possible. you'll be surprised with your progress.
