17 Years old (Muscle Gain possibility?)

Hey I'm a 17 year old in the US trying to gain some muscle. I've been working hard in the gym (I take weight training in school) for around 3 and a half weeks. We work alternate fashion (upper body then lower body every other day). I weigh 140 pounds and have been eating around 130 grams of protein everyday. No supplements. How many months until some decent muscle (I've noticed gains and I can definitely lift more than beforehand, but not too much physical change)? If it helps, I'm a pretty tall skinny male (6 feet) and only have 12% body fat.

How should we know if we don't even know what you do in gym?

More protein. If you weigh 140 pounds, try to get 140-200 grams of protein a day.
More carbs. Try to get ~300 grams of carbohydrates a day. No carbs = no muscle.

Lifting is a big lifestyle change.
You'll see minor differences in a few months,
you'll see big changes in 6 months,
and you'll see a total transformation in a year.
