Should I buy a Bodymax CF475 power rack
Hi guys,
I'm just after reassurance that this rack is going to be ok, I'm new to this and not sure what I should be looking for. I'm not lifting a lot of weight at the moment but I do want it to last a good few years.

Are there better options for a similar price?

You could always try buying used power rack. It may take a while to find a good one close to you but you'd save about 30-50% on the price.
Bodymax rack itself is pretty good and offers good safety. Most likely you'll never overgrow it.
Getting me some gains

I'll keep an eye out on ebay however at the moment there's only two CF475 and one powertec. If I don't find anything better, I'll just buy the CF475 at the end of the month.

the custom ones i see on there at the moment are a lot better, usualy overbuilt and go for less because people look at brand.
theres a rack in devon made out 5mm 60mm box, not even commercial racks are that thick.

I have another option I'm considering now;
Bodycraft F430;
www .powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodycraft-f430-power-rack.php
Bodymax CF475;
www .powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf475-heavy-power-rack-with-latlow-pulley.php
Which one would you pick?

F430, you won't be dissapointed. I bought last month and love it. I asked them if they could throw in some extra bar hooks with it as well instead of the dip bars and they sent me extra hooks and dip bars with no extra charge.

How many hooks should I buy? I'm new so don't flame me, but top back for squats, middle back for bench presses, then bottom front for deadlifts (not using bumpers). They look like quick release on the F430, so is it necessary to buy extra? (assuming I can't get them free like you).

Well you only need one pair on the back posts for bench, squat, etc etc. The spotter arms have a set of hooks on them as well so there really isn't the need for an extra set. I have my extra pair on the front post facing out for OH presses and whatnot.
