cliffs-Squats are awesome and I’m not saying it won’t shape your ass, but let’s be realistic…I’ve been squatting and squatting and more squatting heavy for YEARS-quite frankly I’m a little pissed my ass doesn’t have its own zip code yet-what’s my point?! Well my ass looks ok but why isn’t it WAY BIGGER??? Mainly cuz a really good popped out from the back; see it from all angles, envy of every black woman on the planet booty is partially GENETIC!!! Don’t get me wrong, if you have a pancake ass, by all means SQUAT and make the best of what ya got (it WILL improve), but don’t be mislead into thinking you’ll get the Kim Kardashian ass of your dreams, cuz you won’t! Before you look at the pictures I’m about to share and say well those girls with the ginormous butts are fat….maybe they are thick, but if they decided to hit the gym trust me that ass would not go away. It would tighten up and make the rest of us cry and glare with some serious haterade….

A thicker girl who squats is going to have epic glutes.
If she is really lean, then the girl isn't going to have a giant butt.
But I would agree that some girls tend to carry their excess fat more highly concentrated in their butts. But no one likes a cottage cheese a$$.PRs

but you gotta remember, in the fitness pics, they are at competition weight and bodyfat so they will have smaller looking asses because the glute is leaner. when they are bulking the glute will look more filled out and larger because they will be heavier, hence having more fat in that area

obviously you have to be in a caloric surplus to gain muscle, the ass is still a muscle
bro you are using pics of competitions as examples, where everyone is extremely low bodyfat. post pics of fitness models at 12-14% (or the female equivalent of that), they'll all have nice asses
its genetic too, but to a far lesser extent than say, calves. but most fitness model chicks that squat will have nice asses when not in competition shape

I think that the article sets an unrealistic qualifier for the end-product the squat has to deliver. Will squats give a woman a gigantic ass like the ones in the pictures from the article? No, but it will give a woman a tight firm backside, which, with a small amount of fat on it, will hold up well with age, unlike an ass made of fat, which will sag when she hits 35.

No, its to do with how their glute muscle attaches to the bone. Some people just naturally have more rounded glute muscles. And if those people squat then it will only enhance what they have even more.
Even if a chick doesnt have the best glute muscle genetics squatting will still make here ass look better than not working out at all.
like this chick for example she didnt have the best glute genetics but she looks way better than before

I don't know, there's a girl in my gym who has a HUGE ass even though her tits are small and she seems naturally thin. She squats heavy (mostly doubles and triples, ATG) like 3 times per week, maybe more. Also as a side note she deadlifts and strict military presses, both with impeccable form, HNGGGG. And she wears the SMALLEST ****ing under armor booty shorts ever, such that she has to pull them out of her ass/vag after every set, lulz. And she ALWAYS ****ing must distract me by squatting in the rack RIGHT next to me. Totally kills my focus, lulz.
Not sure if she's genetically like that though, I'll be sure to ask for before pics next time.

This. The glutes contract hard at the top to push forward. I do deads after squats.
Anyways, just like with everyone - there will always be some folks who have a stubborn bodypart. For some people, it's their glutes, lol. It's also true that basically any muscle can grow with training. Some people might not grow as much or as fast, but everyone can improve from their starting point.

Way better for glutes. Squats hit my quads too hard. Wide-leg leg press with booty contraction at the top is also pretty good for dat azz.
