So, sexy back, my shoulder routine currently is about 15 sets.
db presses
db laterals
cable raises
front raises
rear delt raises (going to switch these out for face pulls)
Now, I basically go for 2 exercises for each part of the shoulder, but in your article you say front raises really aren't necessary, I also think this. I do DB presses+ chest work on another day, that should be adequate, correct? Would it be best to take those front raises out and replace them with another rear delt movement, so I have 1 front movement, 2 side movements, 2 rear delt movements? I don't think my front delts are lagging at all, so I question the necessity of front raises.

The answer is yes, sub front raises for face pull, and keep doing rear delt raises or even much better reverse pec dec ( they work better for me you need to experiment and monitor ur results )

My only issue with heavy shrugs, is I lose my grip before my traps give out. If I could hang on longer, I'd get more out of it. Have to decrease weight. Sigh.
I use straps for this sort of exercise, and dumbbell carries, im not interested in working forearms during this period, its just shoulders and nothing else
Great Read, And glutes, you already hit your traps in most of your shoulder movements, so why not finish it off with some shrugs at the end to blow em away.
