Have a sore throat. Has happened before when running SS....hoping this time it's just from the pollen/allergies cuz my
Girlfriends family and I did her cleaned yesterday and all of us have symptoms of being sick.

I get a sore throat when the dust gets stirred up in my room, or when I snore at night. Take some vit C and pound dat water.

Thanks man. Took cold eeze (lots of zinc and vitamin c I think). I'm still pounding squats press and power clean hard tomorrow

Feeling like **** today. Sore throat is almost gone. But stuffy nose got worse, have a bad headache and a stiff sore neck. Wanna workout but I feel I probably should rest and just drink lots more water.
This sucks I realized its the 3rd time I've gotten sick when running SS even tho this time it's only been a week since I restarted. I eat a sh*t ton to recover. I only had 5 hours of sleep last night tho. I tried sleeping more but just couldn't sleep

After some tolynol and water and some more rest I'm feeling better. Still a slight headache and stuffy nose. Very fatigued and need to eat a lot now. Ima try and hit the gym gym Tuesday Thursday and Saturday this week since I missed today. (I have work in 2 hours).

Only 6 hours of interrupted sleep. Other night only had 4. 2 nights before that only had 3-4. Feeling alright tho just gonna take some tolynol, eat a lot, drink a lot and smash the weights

Squat 3x5 195 (Had such a hard time breathing which made this so hard)
Overhead Press 3x5 75 (Easy)
Power Clean 5x3 100 (loved each set)
Chin ups 10,8,6 (24 total)
Machine crunches 100 lbs x 15,12,10
Great workout for being sick. Chin ups were as hard as the squats in terms of breathing.

Squat 3x5 200 (SO EASY compared to last workouts 195...I'm getting over being sick so the last couple reps got hard bt still was easy as it used to be. Frequency is key)
Bench 3x5 150 (Easy as piss. Getting bored benching until I get around 170 in a couple weeks. But restarting light is a must or I'd stall quick)
Deadlift 1x5 225 (Easy Easy)

Lol very true. Thanks a lot man. I'm having an earache in my other ear now but my girl bought this rub on stuff that's working well in making me feel a lot better.

Hamstrings are sore. I'm an idiot and rarely stretch. Need to start foam rolling and stretching. If i remember to I only stretch once a day for a couple minutes

Had 6 hours of sleep and layed down another 2 hours. May not be a lot but I had a good breakfast to wake me up. A bunch of fruit, milk and pizza. Will workout in a couple hours after I can get some more food in

Squat 3x5 205 (Got hard due to breathing from my stuffy nose and on the 2nd set I came out of the hole by pressing my toes into the ground on a few reps)
Overhead Press 3x5 80 (Easy)
Power Cleans 5x3 105 (Easy)
Bicycle Ab twists 2x30
Didn't do chin ups today cuz I could barely breathe after the power cleans. Also from lack of sleep i want to be able to fully recover and accessories would make recovery harder. Feeling a lot better but my nose has remained stuffed from the allergies.

Warm up Jump Rope 4x25
Squat 3x5 210 (started feeling harder)
Bench Press 3x5 155 (Easy)
Deadlift 1x5 235 (Felt easy but on the 3rd rep the bar slipped outa my hands right before I locked out. So I switched to over/under grip and the last 2 reps were easy). Guess ima have to do over/under for now on. It makes my bicep feel weird tho.
Barbell Curls 2x15 60 (limited time left so decided just 2 sets at higher reps for curls)
Elbow to knee crunches 2x20

Jump Rope 10x25 jumps
Need to throw in some conditioning for the heart and because I'm eating at a high caloric surplus (+700-1000 now) so this'll burn some extra cals that are unnecessary.
I'm gonna build up to 10 rounds of 100 jumps over time. My gym has tires but with squatting and deadlifting/cleaning every workout tire flips would be a little much.
Will be doing squats/overhead press/cleans tomorrow.

Doing lots of work in here. Don't be upset about having to switch to mixed grip on dead lifts. Just do your warmups with overhand and switch on the top set.

Thanks man. I still gotta implement heavy holds too for grip. Even on mixed grip the last times I ran SS I started dropping the bar at 265-275 for 5. But yeah that's what I'll do. Plus heavy holds/farmer's walks

Subbed. I just took my first step into TM as well and have the same short term goals as you. Oh and you seem to be SSing your squats, I must've missed something. Are you on SS or TM right now? Or a mix?
+1 on mixed grip. I always use mixed grip on my workset and my final warmup single. I only use double overhand for the earlier warmups, and when I do static holds after my workset to increase grip strength. Do the static holds and use chalk. In fact, I just got my FatGripz in the mail and I'm gonna use this grip training program to help improve my grip:

I actually restarted SS one final time cuz I never reset when I stalled which was stupid. I hit 255x5 on squats and 185x5 on bench then deadlifts fell outa my hand around 275x5. I feel I can progress more on SS. So I stopped TM and will restart it once I run SS into the ground.

Yeah man definitely run SS till you can't run it anymore. You'll never get the daily linear progress ever again unless you take time off. I've stalled on squat numerous times till I decided to switch over to TM. Oh and don't forget to microload ohp/bench when you stall on those. Good luck

Squat 3x5 215 (Hard but the last set was much easier because I told myself to act like I would explode through the roof)
Overhead press 3x5 85 (Easy)
Power Clean 5x3 110 (very easy)
Dumbbell holds 3x20 seconds 85 lbs
My left forearm is a whole inch smaller than my right and my right forearm could hold on to the weight much longer so I am going to work on grip strength just with my left forearm cuz that is my weak link on deadlifts.

Bench Press 3x5 160 (Easy)
Deadlift 1x5 245 (Very easy. Grip strength was better today. I curled my right wrist (the under hand) but of course made my arm straight. This actually made my right forearm tendon feel a lot better).
Pull ups 2x10
Crunches 2x20
Great workout. Weighed 164 after workout.
