    Deadlift questions

Just was wondering if I do my deadlift with correct form, where should I be sore or "feel it" after words, I'm guessing everyone might be different because I get different answers from friends but I wanna get some different feedback on here cause I figure people on here know more. I'm starting to focus more on correcting all my forms rather than trying to look big and end up hurting something.

also i was reading about how people who are relatively shorter struggle with deadlift? Lol kinda random but didn't know that any thoughts?

I dunno if i do dead lifts properly or not but i put a peice of wood under my toes when i do dead lifts and i generate all my power through my hamstrings. So i generally have really really sore hamstrings and a only sometimes a sore lower back but its barely sore at all.

Going by where you should be "sore" is a poor method. Especially with deadlift that works many muscles all at once. Plenty of good youtube vids/guides out there on how to deadlift properly. Get someone at your gym that knows how to do it watch you, or even use your phone/camera to record yourself and post it here.

Why not just learn to deadlift properly? This sounds dumb and is putting certain muscles in the wrong position to deadlift properly.

Its what the PT told me to do when he wrote me my program told me to do, because it really extends my hamstrings which is good for the sport i play (AFL)

Good idea, I'm definitely gonna go down a little in weight though until I get it, if I drop my weights to focus on form, am I gonna lose a little strength and gains since I'm dropping my weight?

Personally my lower back feels kinda sore after deadlifts. Not pain, just soreness. I don't know whether this is natural, or if my form is off.

Yes, that's why shorter people do sumo deadlifts.

It is always my lower back that is most sore afterward. As pervious post said, it is most certainly not painful, but the exercise inevitably places heavy stress on the lower back, even when the back is completely flat and unrounded.
