Question Weight loss without massive strength lose

I will be 36 this year and have lifted on and off most of my adult life. I have recently got back into lifting and my lift totals are starting to improve but my body weight is going up also . I want to lose approx. 40 pounds but I want to keep as much of my power as I can while doing this. Can anyone suggest any supplements or workouts that will help in this.

My current supplements are Creatine, arginine, glutamine, multi vit. , protien.
My current bench is 410 , squat is 520, deadlift 550.

My plan is to increase cardio and reduce my fat intake but keep my caloires close to what they are now?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated

You are one big strong dude, that's for sure.

What are your cals at now ?
What are your macros like for the day?

IMO, nutrition is the key.
And for some of us cardio, cardio and more cardio.

Reducing fat intake is a good start, but carbs can also be detrimental when eaten in abundance. Rather than just targeting the reduction of fat, ensure that the calories you take in are good calories with adequate protein.

I'm a big believer of MRPs for this. Although I've since switch products, I had taken Met-Rx the 2nd contest I did where despite my reduction in weight to probably less than 160 lbs, I was still able to bench 275 lbs the day after the contest.

I've also started working on trimming down again this year (turning 40) and have increased my supplementation to include MRPs. I've already lost an inch around my waist, yet I can still put up a good 385/395 lbs bench. Not bad for a 180 pounder, huh?

daily calories

Currently my daily calories stay around 3,000 I try to eat 4-5 meals with a pre and post workout protien shake on some days I also have a protien shake first thing in the morning. I try to get around 200 plus grams of protien with fat making up less than 30% of my intake.

My workout schedule is as follows
mon. chest
tue bi and tri's --heavy
wed legs
thur shoulders/traps
fri back

200 g Protein equal approx 800 calories which is less than a 3rd of your daily intake. I'd bump up your protein intake to be closer to your body weight and introduce some cardio into your workouts preferrably on a morning/evening split.

Adding Cardio

With my work schedule I plan to add some treadmill time or track walking in the early morning and keep my lifting in the eve. I may try to add another protien shake and spread my meals out over 5-6 instead of 4-5 with this I should be able to up my protien to the 280 plus range. Thanks
