One of my favorite supplements. I am on it YEAR ROUND to help control my diabetes. Even on my carb days, i take it so I can give less insulin to try and keep fat gains at bay.
So...what is R-ALA?
R-ALA POWERFUL ANTIOXIDANT AND NUTRIENT DELIVERY SYSTEM
- INCREASES Nutrient Delivery
- DEACTIVATES Cell Damaging Free Radicals
- OPTIMIZES Insulin Activity
ALLMAX R-ALA promotes the muscle’s uptake of glycogen by optimizing insulin activity and helps speed up the amount of nutrients shuttled to your muscles pre- and post-workout. R-ALA can help speed up muscle recovery and can be combined with creatine to create a powerful and anabolic compound.
ALA is also an extremely potent antioxidant, so powerful it is known as the Universal Antioxidant. Anyone who trains regularly knows exercise can place a lot of wear and tear on your body. By supplementing with ALLMAX R-ALA, you can protect your body from the oxidative damage associated with intense training.
R-ALA Complex
ALLMAX R-ALA Complex is a scientifically proven Nutrient Delivery and Antioxidant complex. Unlike competitive ALA products, this complex supplies 125 mg of the active R (+) isomer, the pure mitochondrial form of ALA naturally found in the human body. This specific isomer is the exact form linked to the beneficial properties of alpha lipoic acid.
ALPHA LIPOIC ACID – THE TRUTH UNCOVERED
Commercially available ALA products on the market today consist almost entirely of the S (-) isomer of alpha lipoic acid. These inferior products have significantly weaker nutrient delivery and antioxidant properties. If your ALA product does not include the R (+) isomer of ALA, make the switch to ALLMAX R-ALA Complex today.
Now you know what R-ALA is and how it can help you!
NOW how can you win some?
Ever eaten so many carbs it just put you in a coma? I am talking about going to iHop and devouring plate after plate of pancakes lol.
I want to see Carb Porn. POST PICS! I just started my contest prep, so this will torture me a bit. But post the most epic carb meals and snacks. The three that get me on the verge of falling off my diet each get a bottle of R-ALA to try out for FREE!
RULES:

There is the proof right there! There are many other GDAs, but they all give me the sameish result. And R-ALA is very cheap, so I tend to stick with R-ALAType 1 Diabetic - Since age 15

^ Doesn't look to scrumptious right? Well let me tell you what's in it. I recently was at Cold Stone Creamery and I got *ahem* a Godiva dark chocolate ice cream with brownie chunk milkshake!!!! It was sooooooo good, ice cream/milkshakes/blizzards are one of my favorite dirty carb meals I'm sorry for your loss =p"The beast's eyes show panic, he had thought he was an immovable object; but the man in black was an unstoppable force. I love fettucine alfredo, especially the alfredo sauce mmmmmmmm!
AND my favorite carb source:....SUSHI!
I mean although it isn't bad for you if you are on a carb deload you couldn't eat all dat dere rice....but if you want an idea just go eat sashimi if you like it (go load up on it superrrr protein).
A little story to make you jelly

I have a place in my town called Blue Fish Grill (not the Blu Fish fancy chain although we do have a few) and its basically an all-you-can eat buffet that has sushi, sashimi, hibachi (you can have steak, chicken, shrimp, veggies grilled), normal chinese/jap food (gyoza, crab rangoon, general tso's chicken, etc.), american food (mac and cheese, wings, etc.), a salad bar, shellfish, and ice cream/sherbet! It's like $15/person ($9/person in the early afternoon), but when I go I get soooo much sushi like 30+ plus rolls (one time I logged in a calorie logger all the sushi I ate, I ended up eating over 1400 kcals in that one sitting! <- close to 200 grams of protein!).Last edited by RebelPoet; 02-12-2013 at 09:35 PM.

I should've taken a pic of it on my plate, but I was ravenous and I demolished my food with the fury of 10,000 Spartans.
So, here's the aftermath in Tupperware.
Top left:
Homemade Stuffed Shells with Fat Free Ricotta that I made up using fresh garlic, egg whites, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, onion powder, and a little mint for good measure. The melted mozzarella was also reduced fat, and the sauce was a fresh sauce that I made reducing whole tomatoes and using fresh basil, parsley, and a spice cabinet...it was awesome!
Top Right:
Hot Italian Turkey Sausage and homemade meatballs (95/5 beef) that I cooked down in my sauce. There's also a bit of mozzarella on the meatballs. I didn't have any meatballs, I made em for my kids. One of my son's favorites.
Bottom:
Sugar Free Jello Chocolate Pudding blended with Black Cherry Greek Yogurt and mixed in:
-Reese's PB Chips
-Reduced Fat Oreos
-Crushed Pretzels
-Fresh Banana Slices
-Just a dab of non-fat whipped cream for good measure.
(I'm about to destroy dessert. Figured I'd take a pic before it too was gone.)
