I looked on the back nutritional information for a sugar free energy drink that I was having and it was about 10 calories for a serving. The question that I'm asking is will it effect my cutting if I drink one of these a day but stay within a caloric deficit? Or will the fact that it's still carbonated hinder my progress. Also do you reckon it is a good pre workout?

Count it in your macros, the carbonation may make you bloated but won't make you fat. I like diet sodas mixed with my pre-workout stuff (beta alanine, citriuline malate) and just drink some coffee or take some caffeine pills.
Always learning.
