Yeah I hate these cheap ****s. They always make up stories how they need the thing you're selling but can't afford the price. I'm not interested in hearing how crappy their life is.
Even when I put "NO OFFERS" in the title or description these idiots still try it, as if they never even bothered to read the description.

I also get idiots who call me and ask about the item, even though everything is in the advert. They ask for the price for the lot (in the advert) as if they think I'll forget the price I put it up for and let them have it for less.

It sometimes gets frustrating reading like 3-4 messages of these idiots a day. Phone conversations are the worst. They try justifying why your item is worth like 50% less than what you put up on the web.
The other day I was trying to push my 25 and 50kg plates for 1 and 1.10 £ respectively. The guy calls me, asks for the fuking price even though it was on the listing - then when I told him that the price is in the listing he starts saying "oh mate your price is way too expensive, these plates are worth like £0.60 and all that crap.
I ended up saying **** off and dropping the call coz the guy wouldn't just back off.

These people are like scavengers.

Said sorry nope he said ok I understand then text me back 10 min later and asked what the lowest I would take... Very nice guy and come to find out he lives in a 450k house. Like he needs a good deal anyway... Anyway time to get back on Craigslist and blow this cash!!! I did just find a way to get rouge hi temp bumpers for .89 per lb so I might go drop a few Benjamin's on those!

You'd be surprised. Some of the brokest (is that even a word?) people I know live in expensive houses and drive very high-end cars. They're all about the image, so they spend all of their income on their car/house/clothes trying to look like they're wealthy, but they have very little furniture in their house and no extra money to speak of. Everything they "own" is either financed or leased.

Funny u say that... I recently had a guy buy some stuff I had listed for $150 never negotiated just said he wanted them... Once he got here I found out he drove 55 min to get here... He handed me $150... I told him I also have driven a ways away to buy weights and I know gas isn't cheap so I handed him back a $20... He wouldn't take it but I insisted.. If all Craigslist transactions went

Yes. 100's are hard to find. You might have sold for $125-$150

I'm not too worried about it. I bought them for $75 a piece like 6years ago or something. Dude bought them to use for wakeboarding and they had been collecting dust/rust for a while.

Since your getting offered less than half of your list price just jack it up to $800 and you'll get the offer you want eventually... maybe offer to deliver within a reasonable distance too...
