    Getting started-Powerlifting Newbie

Hey everyone. I'm trying to really get into powerlifting but I'm at about 1% there. I don't know the first thing about since powerlifting is fairly weak where I am at. So if I could get some tips on diet, proper supplementation, technique, how often to workout, what to workout, etc. I'd like to get into competing shape. I'd say my stats but they are truly pathetic. So thanks in advance!

Entire movie is great but the beginning gives a good explanation about powerlifting as well.

That's excellent advice. The only thing I can add to that is to actually buy the book.

By the way, that was an awe-inspiring video. I'm fired up.

Maybe there is a powerlifting club near you, do some research. Having access to good coaching is great, and training with people who share the same goals is awesome.

If you have to learn it on your own, you gotta buy books, read them and practice a lot.

I guess Starting strength will be a good start. As another member said it, you better buy it, there is a lot to learn!
