Advice on getting out of stance fastest for a 40 yard dash ( football ). I feel like my stance is holding back my time the most.

Please have someone take a side shot of your current stance.
One of the biggest mistakes a lot of football guys make is crowding the line, thinking that having their feet up a few extra inches will make the difference. In reality this will mechanically compromise you. It's hard to know what's wrong without seeing it.

Your size will determine your stance, but you'll want to get tight to the line. You should be relaxed and comfortable, but still feel loaded like a spring. Weight on front hand. First motion should a hard scrape back with your front hand while your other extends over your head. Keep your chest down and over exaggerate those first few steps.
The fewer steps you take the faster your time will be.www.dreesperformance.com
