    what happens when you stop taking creatine

    I just started taking creatine and I got concret and it was buy one get one free and each ones 24 servings but I was wondering if I finish the first bottle and wanna take a break from it will I get small if I keep working out?

    You will lose some water weight, maybe have str go down.

    The general consensus/belief is to cycle creatine for 8 weeks, a short period off then repeat, that way you will respond more, instead of always being on the creatine. However it is personal choice. When training in arnolds phrase it means regardless of supplementation, as long as you're pushing yourself, reaching failure/enough reps you will still grow, so train the same.

    Where is that the general consensus? Your gym? I suggest that you look elsewhere before you start giving advice on what is generally advised. First off, for those who understand why they choose to cycle off, the purpose espoused is typically to allow creatine levels to return to baseline. If that is in fact the goal, going off for "a short period" you would never achieve this goal, as it takes 4-6 weeks "off" to achieve that goal.

    Those who understand creatine, and choose to cycle will go off for 6 weeks once or twice a year.

    Yes since it will take a few weeks to increase muscle creatine to its upper threshold as it is. It's like pulling out before you get to blow your load.
