LMAO at this thread, tough crowd.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Me too, Bro' . Hey OP, there are alot of us with better gyms than you and we aren't 'mirin ours. 'Myrin your gym is kind of like 'mirin the first time you did lifts with the plates on the bar. It's good for you, but a little more progression needs to be done before posting this kind of thread.

Good luck with that Bro' . I started taking care of my girls at ages 3 & 5 and thought the same thing, but it didn't happen. They are now 11 & 13, and between schoolwork, soccer, extracurricular activities, shopping, cooking, clothes washing, cleaning and finally, my wife working from home 2-3 days a week there is very little me time, lol. Add into that, the fact that school is only 180 days/year and their vacations seem to last forever and I'm the one that needs a vacation .
Seriously, I'd much rather spend time with my family than work at an Electric Generating Station 60+ hours a week (previous job in NJ). Life isn't anywhere as bad as I'm making it sound. BTW, there are a whole lot of us on this forum that are stay at home Dads. Enjoy it while you can, especially the girls while they are young because they start getting ornery between 8 and 10."Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do, than by the ones you did" Mark Twain

OP, wanna see a home gym worth 'mirin'? Check out Mark Wahlberg's gym:

Most over rated gym in the world IMO. Looks like a commercial gym w/ a boxing ring in it. I understand that he is a boxing fan but why not just get a bunch of heavy bags, and double end bags and speed bags, etc. A ring is only good for sparring.
My dream gym would be WSBB or S4 compoundIt surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

The boxing ring was put in so he could train for the movie "The Fighter"."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

You have to remember that his needs are far different to most of ours. He would be using the ring for sparring, but also for pad work with his personal trainer/instructor. For most of us, a home gym is a solitary experience, whereas he'll have trainers and not to mention all his 'hangers on'.
