Love how everyone uses these threads to bash the military saying things like "bottom feeders" or "douche bags that couldn't make it to college." Yeah there are some guys in the military that can act like that but that doesn't mean everyone does. If you work hard in the military you can be set for life. You can make six figures, get your education paid for, retire with a great pension, and have companies wanting you because of your military background. Again this doesn't apply to everyone in the military but too those who put in the effort.

As a veteran I feel I should comment.
He's angry they took so long, but he's right for being upset, but she should have acted 10x more professional than that about it (a lot of military are too fkin arrogant), and I don't think it was necessary what they did, but he'll live. I think they made their point.★★★ A State of Trance Crew ★★★

I don't know how it works in the US but here with a university background (i.e actual university background not that retarded college sh!t) you could become a platoon leader (first luitenant) within 2 years without having a prior military background.
If you go to "officer school" or w/e they call it you can end up on a even higher rank. If it's remotely the same in the US then yes you can just "go in" as a officer.Het bier zal weer vloeien

Lol
I live in a very small redneck town, I doubt the majority of the police here graduated highschool ( dead serious) and they are corrupt.
It's very well known that some of the police/ officers or whatever here sell / deal drugs with the kids.
I'm not trying to be a dick and start and argument with people ITT im just sayingDon't be so quick to throw away your life. No matter how disgraceful or embarrassing it may be, you need to keep struggling to find your way out until the very end.

Communication skills, de-escalation, have you heard of this?
The cop made no effort whatsoever, he merely increased the potential of violence by closing the distance... altho it was kinda alpha to take him down and say he's a marine LOL, the cop was outta line... typical bully with no people skills..aka. Tomthetrainwreck

they have no legal obligation to protect you
Warren v. District of Columbia[1] (444 A.2d. 1, D.C. Ct. of Ap. 1981) is an oft-quoted[2] District of Columbia Court of Appeals (equivalent to a state supreme court) case that held police do not have a duty to provide police services to individuals, even if a dispatcher promises help to be on the way, except when police develop a special duty to particular individuals.
