You are nervous because you are either not confident in yourself or you are scared about what other people will think about the weight you are lifting. Don't be a scared little girl. If you really want to do it do it for you and don't worry what others will think or say.

Maxs:
Barbell Bench Press - 295 lbs
Squat - 455 lbs
Deadlift - 425 lbs

As Luck said it could be due to embarrassment or if you are the new kid moving up in hs and just now lifting intimidation from the upper classman can have a factor also. You just gotta hit it each day with everything you have for yourself. Leave there knowing you have nothing left to give, and remember its rare that someone did a ton of weight in the beginning.

REMEMBER THIS: Real lifters respect the new kids in the gym that lift with good form. I'd much rather see someone squatting 135 with full ROM than that kid thinking he is big squatting 225 for quarter, maybe half way down reps.
