    Could I compete in october? (pics)

    I'm prepping to do a bikini competition in October, if I can make the necessary changes to my body in that time. Do you think I could be ready? Do I need to build more muscle? I'm lifting seriously , eating a bit under maintenance (but increasing slowly) and no cardio at the moment. Just wanted opinions on if i could be ready in 7-8 months?

    Plenty of time. Keep training for muscle gain right now and worry about nailing the prep diet down as the time gets a bit closer.

    I agree that you need a touch more muscle....shoulders and glutes. Train and eat for gains you've got plenty of time.

    Thanks, im going to focus on building muscle these first few months.
    I'm going on holiday mid year but it's only for a few weeks break so I'll still have time to come back and start the cutting then in the last months.

    Ive been around body builders for a few years now. I helped put on the Bill pearl show last year in central Oregon and presented .I also got to know a few of the judges over this last year and find out what there looking for. I work out every day with several both male and female body builders, fitness models and bikini class. You have a lot of work ahead of you. I am not trying to discourage you at all but I know women that have an easy couple years on you that are just getting ready for there first show. You have time but its going to come up on your pretty quick if you don't start working on some muscle in those legs and do a fair amount of cardio. Just saying. I wish you the best. good luck!!

    Worked out every day from 2008-october 2011 with little results and lots of money spent on trainers.
    Weighed 250 11/ 2011 now weight 197 as of 2/9/2013
    Was planning a may 18th show but i looked at to many people on here that thought
    they were ready in 16 weeks that are not. So i have decided to try again for October and annihilate any competitor in my class.

    Just bringing this up again because I'm still unsure on a few things. For bikini they don't require as much muscle as the other categorys. It is looking like I need to build more muscle but I'm not sure how much I need to gain and I'm worried about putting on fat because I still have fat to lose where I am now. I've heard it isn't wise to bulk unless you're already at low levels of BF%. So now I feel unsure which way to go.
