I know there are a bunch of Marines and fellow service members on this forum. New to the forums and so for shi*ts and giggles, i figured i'd post a topic. So... i'm sure many MANY people here can get a perfect 300 PFT that the Marine corps bases their physical fitness off of. For the fellow Marines, how many of you are iron men? And for non Marines, how many can get a perfect 300?
Each pull-up = 5 points
20 pull-ups = perfect 100 points
Each sit up = 1 point
100 sit ups = perfect 100 points
3 mile run
18:00 mins = perfect score
6 points deducted for each minute after 18:00 from 100.
My highest PFT 278

i'm in jrotc, and our PT tests are
max = 72 pushups, 78 situps, 13:00 run (2 miles)
1 point off for each pushup/situp under max, 1 point off for every 6 seconds above 13:00
i **** on it. lol 118 pushups, 109 situps, 10:21 run. *i'm all-state in XC btw*
403/300 =P
idk about this test though...
are these wide grip pullups? or can you do chinups?

My last PFT I got a 286, 100 situps and 20 pullups. I got a 20:15 on the run i think? Were running one is August I want to break 290 def. I never really focus on my running, I feel that if I actually trained for running that a 300 is very likely...I just have to get my lazy ass out there though.

my pft is mid 250's
20+ pullups
100 crunches
24:40 3mi run time
my best ever was 2.5 years ago in boot camp, 296 when i weighed 165lbs
i value olympic weightlifting and STRENGTH much more-so than a dumb marine corps fitness test tbh, which is why my run time sucks since my legs are big as fok and have no endurance just strength
its major fail to me when people preach run time, especially some officers ive known who can run an 18minute , but cant even get close to touching 20 pullups. wow. now uhh... who is gonna pick me up and carry me when im wounded? nobody. but i could probably handle two people myself. pretty pathetic. i think our PT is geared the wrong way

my last PFT was a 299... couldn't shave those last few seconds off the run...
Run: 18:05
Pullups: 27
Situps: 140
But I'm deffinetly with Gewaltiger... strength should be trained a lot more than it usually is... running's become an obsession I think."Pain is your friend... all your other friends will desert you and forsake you, but pain will never leave you. It is by pain you will know that you are alive."

Exactly...What's that you can run 5 miles in 20 minutes? Congradulations...Can you carry me if I'm wounded on your shoulders for 1/8 mile to safety? No...didn't think so.
They really do focus on running to the point where I felt it was rediculous. Running 40 miles is great but doing 10 pushups is not.

300 pft
I am planning to perform a PFT in a couple of weeks after training for a total of 8 weeks. I am going to attempt to get a 300. Previously before I left the Corps I was getting around 280. I will post videos and pics of the event. I am working on a project to help motivators get in shape before going to boot camp. Here's a link to my project. Feedback is highly appreciated. Thanks all and Semper Fi! 300pft.com

I'm currently a poolee with the NYC Marine OSO and have been working through the application process for one year. I have ran dozens of PFTs, but my latest one was last week, ran a 292 (20 PU, 100 CR, 19:10 run). I have 18 days to get a 300 before the upcoming OCS selection panel meets to decide my fate. I want that perfect score!
