Am I eating too few calories?????

    Hey guys,

I'm 320lbs 6ft 5, trying to cut a lot of fat. I stand all day at my job 8 hours, 5 days a week plus I work out 5 days a week for 45 mins a day, alternating weight training and cardio on off days. I started logging my diet in the last week and I'm realizing that I'm eating about 200 grams of protein, 200 grams of carbs and 70-100grams of fat a day but only consuming 2200-2500 cals a day. Am I eating too few calories even for steady weight loss? Is this going to hurt my progress? I'm not feeling unwell or hungry or anything but I don't want to be destroying my metabolism and hurting my ability to drop lbs, as it's hard enough as it is.

    Any info would be great!

    THanks

Have you checked the top sticky in this section? It will give you a good baseline where to start for maintenance calories and macronutrient needs.
Follow your weight loss for a few weeks along with your nutrition and see if you're losing weight. It may take a little bit to figure out exactly what you need to meet your goals. Good luck.

Edit: Your calories may be a bit low. I'm starting to monitor calories/macros for the first time and am losing at a decent rate eating 22-2400 calories/day at 6'2 230.

    19 year old metabolism

but yah you could slowly increase cals if you think you're counting right
unless youre losing steady and happy w progress
cutting at 2500 shouldnt screw up your metabolism..
ive seen ppl recover from prolonged periods of sub 1600

If you work out 5 times a day, with your current TDEE, you would need 2750 in order to lose weight correctly.

Going too low on the deficit is bad.

hes 320lbs. The general 1lb/week rule doesnt really apply to people that are a high amount of bodyfat. He can prob lose 3 - 5lbs a week without sacrifising muscle.
