Eh, that statement is true after a while. Compare top level BB'ers to top level PL'ers, the BB'ers look like they should be able to lift more and that's what matters for them. It comes down to goals, but for us average people, I think you can have a good mix of strength and musculature(and would argue they are correlated).

Wasn't there a study released a LONG time ago that proved heavy squats helped with ALL mass developement due to the release of growth hormones? So as odd as it sounds work the crap outta your arms and squat heavy. if this is incorrect or I am misremembering someone straighten me out please.

it's more like people who do 'squats and milk' workouts eat so much they develop 'massive' lunch-lady arms to go with their cankles and 40" waists

the actual amounts of hgh and test released (if any) would be so minute, so absolutely tiny that it would be the equivalent of injecting a couple of drops the real thing (and doing it once a week instead of multiple times a day)

Arm size can be really deceptive. Like ID said: If you have fat to lose, having 17" arms don't mean sh!t. I have lost about 30 lbs, gained a TON of strength. My arms are looking a ton better and they are the same. exact. measurement. Actually, they shrunk 1/4" :/

I would have to agree with BH, if you want them to grow, train them into the dirt.

Arm measurements are a fun comparison, but tbh, they don't mean much. At different bodyfat percentages, it is pretty useless to compare them. Plus, BB'ing is about illusions. It doesn't matter if your arms are 16s if they look like 20s. One of the benefits of having smaller joints, it gives the illusion of larger muscles.

So true, Size is just a number, an impressive arm is one that looks big in comparison to a slim waist by having low body fat.
If you've got big arms but a big belly too, it kind of loses it’s impact!

Flex does have a life away from here.He has a girlfriend that he talks to .....here.He invites people to his house that he meets....here.He meets up with people IRL that he has met .....here.He has pics of himself at the beach with his username from here moulded in the sand around him.I don't think the beefcake is obsessed with a supplement store chat room at all.I really liked the open invitation for his birthday where any lunatic reading an online forum was welcome to show up.

I've met some great people from this forum IRL, just as I've met some great people IRL from my car forums. Maybe you think it's odd but on my car forum meeting people with similar interests IRL is the norm. There are lots of local, regional, national, and international Meet & Greets. We have been to some of them, but not all of them. And lots of people travel a lot further than we are willing to. I've even hosted my own (very successful) M&G in Niagara Falls several years running.



And as far as the nickname I've been a member of this forum since 2010 and have been called FLEX by friends since 1992.

Lastly, I really like the way you follow me around the forum talking ****. It's nice to have stalkers.

just in case no-one answered the OP seriously yet (who'd have thought), my opinion is that 16" arms shredded (as in 5-6% bf, contest condition) are the most that genuine naturals are ever going to see, unless they're 6'+ or have a massive frame or are genetic outliers when it comes to muscle distribution.

I've posted that in the kiddy pool section before and had all the little dreamers swear that they will have 18" ripped arms in contest condtion like their 'natural' idols, but it doesnt really work like that.. that's bigger than metzer or zane were onstage in their prime.
