I feel like a BEAST because i finally hit 225 bench. When i started bodybuilding, my only goal was to get 2 plates on both sides. Finally did it, now my goal is 3. Let's go.

oh my, this is an easy one for me. when i first started training it took everything i had just to be able to hang on the bar...doing a real pull up seemed as far away as the moon. after months of baby steps i FINALLY got my chin over the bar without any asssitance. the feeling of accomplishment was so amazing, its indescribable....i was sooo proud of myself. to this day no matter how many PRs i set in whatever exercise, NOTHING remotely approaches that BEASTLY feeling of my first PULLUP!

My lift that I value most is my 225x34 deadlift that I hit a week ago. Yes I've hit high numbers for deadlifts, squats, however no weight can compare to the mental aspect of 34 reps of deadlifts. It's a great exercise that separates people who give it their all compared to guys who just half ass their workout. By the 15th rep, your lower back starts burning.
By the 20th rep, you can no longer hold onto the bar. But what do you do? You don't give up. Stand up, shake your legs off, wipe the sweat off your head and go back at it.
25, 26, 27.. One at a time. The music is blasting, people are watching. Why is he doing so many reps on such a taxing exercise? Because its a test of will power. As the last rep goes up, the calluses rip off your hands and the rep feels like an eternity. A lot of people can claim to have a 405, 495 or a 600 deadlift. How many people can say they had the determination to rep out deads until they can't stand straight and can't grasp their hands?
For most of us, the mind fails before the body. That's what makes me a beast.

What made me feel like a BEAST
The first time I squatted 315 ATG I felt like I was truly a beast. Taking a minute to visualize before getting under the bar, I was ready. While unracking the bar I shook with excitement and nervousness, I felt the adrenaline through my blood and as I unracked the bar I was anxious - I wasnt sure if i would be able to stand back up. I took two huge breaths and started to descend. During the descent, my mind was completely clear, I cant even remember what I was thinking but the weight felt heavy as fuuuu. My knees were bent, I was doing all I could to keep my upperbody upright, while trying to push my knees out and open up my hips. On the ascend the bar speed was very slow during the first few inches, it was during this time where I didnt know if i would make it, but as I grinded past the initial ROM, I was able to lock out it and secure the lift. I paused for a few seconds afer completing the lift, and racked the bar.
I was all smiles after; I knew the BEAST had been satisfied.
Reflecting on it even today, I figured that regardless of what the challenge is, clearing your head, visualization, and a strong will will take care of you during your struggles.

I love deadlifts baby! The heavy pulling forces me to grunt&scream loudly. Veins pop, face turns red and blood trickles down my shin - what's not to love? I always go heavy but I'm sure of my max ATM. The last time I followed a routine that revolved around building power I was repping 415lbs. BEAST MODE!!

I would say that my biggest accomplishment has been from not being able to overhead squat 45lbs (empty bar) to being able to Snatch 165lbs.
I'm still no where near satisfied with that though. Working on flexibility and technique. It's definitely one of my proudest accomplishment in terms of lifting.Dirty Leb Crew
