    Lines on side of abs

    Which exercises can i do which target these muscles?

    You just have to lose fat. The set of lines closest to your 6 pack are your ribs. The set of lines closer to your shoulder are the serratus anterior muscles, which get worked through a wide variety of upper body exercises you probably already do. Neither will appear until you are very low body fat.

    well i don't think it's anything to do with that because it seems they deflate although i do get the lines after doing p90x ab ripper x i want to build them even more but im not sure which exercises are the most helpful

    well i do aswell but the thing is i only have them for awhile and like i said they tend to deflate and need work again i just do p90x though just to get them to show

    They can't deflate, they're your ribs. Maybe the serattus anterior and intercostals play a role, but you'll notice: most top bodybuilders with tons of muscle mass in the abdominal region don't have that set of lines closer to the six pack. That's because their muscles cover the ribs up! You'll notice you can only see their serratus anterior, the row of lines closest to the shoulder, which is worked mainly through shoulder stabilization moves.



    It becomes obvious in this next picture that the lower lines are just ribs. The upper lines that poke out from the skin a lot more near the shoulder are the anterior serratus.

    Anytime of twisting crunch or leg raise really. The biggest thing is diet though, you wont see those areas typicaly for the average person till your fairly thin.
