All I know is that the serratus anterior muscle is on the side of the chest. Does it connect to the back also? I need some exercises that will help me buff this lagging body part. If anyone has any answers or exercises please respond.

there is an exercises that works the serratus anterior muscles. there called shoulder raises, you can do them on a flat bench or an incline bench. start by taking dumbell in each hand and start with your hands in the end possition of a dumbell press(arms fully extended, then , this is hard to explain, with your arms fully extended push them farther, youwill notice a stretch in the side of your ribcage, that is the serratus anterior.

The serratus anterior is one of the muscles that controls and stabilises the shoulder blade. It works during many chest and shoulder movements. If it is not working, your shoulder blades stick out.
A teen I knew once developed a stress fracture of his rib where serratus anterior attached due to his weight training. The science is out there!
