Any idea what kind of dumbbells these might be?

I've seen that guys prior work (photographing the Loch Ness monster)... from what I can tell, they look like they might be shop made.

Sorry i cant help ID the DBs, but if it means anything to you i would seriously consider buying them for that price.
You could resell the extra set of 25s and 50s for like $75-$100.
And the rack seems to be a nice one worth at least $75
Just make sure there is not much rust on them(nothing a lil CLR couldnt clean).
It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website regulary to educate themselves for FREE

i already have dumbbells now from 10-80 lbs so dont really need them or the rack...thought maybe they were old and worth some $$$ so i could flip them

The asking price is in the ball park of 50 cents a pound plus $40-50 for the rack. Those are average prices and the set is incomplete. You aren't likely to find a matching pair of 20s. I wouldn't buy it with the expectation that you could flip it for more. Most of the young guys that actually shop on Craigslist won't be interested in an "antique". The market for shop made dumbbells is not particular strong... at least in my area. At that price, I think pro-styles would be a better choice for several reasons... including easily replaceable parts and stronger market.

Ask him if he will take $300. If he has had a hard time selling them, you might too.
You could clean them real good and post higher quality pictures and more pictures.
