Definitely if the PS4 has backwards compatibility...which it probably won't. Will probably still buy one by the end of the year assuming there a some good games.

This will be the first time in my entire lifetime that buying a console won't be a huge financial commitment. Will be nice to be able to just walk into the store and buy that sh!t. Every other time its been "Fffffuuuu....300 bucks...I dunno man....I dunno....I think I'll wait....ffffuuuu..."

Or like when I bought my NES when I was like 6 years old...saved my allowance for a year ($10 a month bitch) and bought it myself.

I'd rather play games like Planetside 2, starcraft 2 and wow than a linear game you beat in 4 hours and pay almost $70 for. And Battlefield 3 is amazing on a high-end pc.

Military shooters are boring. Starcraft and Planetside are the geeky stuff I was thinking of...

Also I don't have any games that I beat in 4 hours...even Uncharted games lasts around 13 hours. Enjoying your time and life wasting simulators.

Not sure if serious. This generation consoles have been maxed out long ago, by several devs. Its been 7-8 yrs. How much longer do you want to go? I want battlefield 4 with 64 players and full destruction with stupid large maps. You don't have to buy a ps4, as sony will support it for another 5 years. Me? I'm going ps4 day 1. Looking at Sony's past, its obvious the will be GOAT.

Unless his 2 year old PC was the absolute top of the line gaming wise when he bought it won't be better than PS4, especially when first party Studios like Naughty Dog and Guerrilla becomes experts with it.

as for OP I will wait and see what rumors are true and untrue, as well as price of console and games it launches with before I make that decision. Not gonna buy xbox 720 on release if it releases with Perfect Dark: Zero 2

The hardware in these console is ancient. Everything that can be squeezed out has been done. There are no tricks left.
