Yea or Nay?

The "wife beater" look did come back recently. According to my teenage daughter, it's the "Jersey Shore" boys that brought them back.. Which may explain why I only ever see them worn in the gym..
I like them, and it would be convenient to workout in them since I have 50, just can't get that "Jersey Shore" reference out of my head..lolThe surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.

I wear a wife beater under my dress shirts everyday, came from the days of me being a fat ass and the beaters trying to contain my fatty man-boobs. Now lately when I change I just throw a ratty t-shirt over my beater, if I get too hot I may take it off but I'm not THAT confident yet.
So riddle me this...is it just me or is it the folks who have the matching outfits, 50 dollar nike "sweat whisking" shirts the ones who work out the least? Seems like that at the gyms I've gone too. The ones with the 20yr old t-shirts and shorts seem to be the more serious lifters.
EDIT: I just realized I said I'm not that confident wearing a wife beater in public yet I took a picture and posted it as my avatar for the world to see...Dave

Sees wife beater in gym. Thinks "he's going to the squat rack to do curls". Rarely wrong.
Now cutting: Got a little more squishy than I wanted, heading down to 160lbs and seeing how things look.

Yes. I'll wear them when I have a body to show off. Until then, I wear those breathable workout shirts that are too short. That belly roll I still have is motivation to keep doing what I'm doing.

If I'm going to the beach or something, I'll break out the War Hammer the night before.

It has been a few months, though. I'm starting to feel like a wooly mammoth.

Ha! Home workout here too. (same avi as you!) I wear what ever the hell I want! Funny hats, flip flops, socks on my wrists (yes srs). I would do it in a gym too if that is what I was comfortable in. I am there to lift weights not put on a fashion show.
Guarantee, if you are wearing a wife-beater and squatting super heavy.....aint no one going to comment other then to say "nice squats"RAW lifts
