For some reason i knew you would love that..i think we have about the same sense of humor.
I am doing good now. I have had a tough first part of the year with Muffin dying but i am moving forward.
Brittany is still at Guilford College and engaged to a wonderful guy..they are getting a place in August and will marry in Feburary. (Thankfully she will be off the payroll soon..college is killing me..lol)
Other than that it's been about the same here..you know me..

Good Morning..
Yesterday was busy. I got my new running shoes, a 20# kettlebell and my ear's pierced again..so i know have two holes in each ear. My daughter has a cartilage piercing on her right ear ..yeah i think not. She also has a Basquiat crown tattoo for Jean-Michel Basquiat. My daughter loves him and Warhol. It's a good thing she is marrying someone with money and a good career because art and languages that is is majoring in does not make that much to start.
I took yesterday off from working out and spent most of the day playing with Lilly and sitting outside reading. I watched a really weird movie on Netflix called The Bleeding House
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1535566/
Very creepy and a bit on the gory side but hey that's what i was in the mood for
Netflix also has a new series starting on April 19 called
Hemlock Grove
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2309295/
It's creepy too. I did love House Of Cards with Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright Penn. I have to tell you the 9.00 i spend a month on Netflix is well worth it.
Ok so now that i have schooled you on my movie watching lets see what is up for today. I went running this morning for 4.11 miles and plan on doing my Kettlebell workout from my plan this afternoon. I went to Earth Fare and got a pound of Yerba Mate tea.I had run out and they are the only place around that carries it.
I am trying to get my calories and meals straight again after my 6 weeks of eating just whatever i feel back on track now..so let's just keep moving forwardDaily Journal

Don't hate me ok but that reminded me of something Kenny father said on SouthPark
He said when you don't work everyday is the weekend. That whole skit was too funny it's from awhile back.
Let's see so to recap my day

Oh my gosh. I am sure you figured out that I love South Park even to this day. Their politics and religion are classic! No one is safe.
I was watching season three of Super Size vs Super Skinny (UK Channel 4 - available on Youtube), and the host was trying out the kettle balls. Those things look intense!
I hope you're doing well! Give little Lilly a hug for me!~TEAM AMAZON~ Sisterhood of Iron

Hi Vanessa, workouts looking good! You use spinach and blueberries in a smoothie? I've heard of people using greens in a smoothie, but I've never done it. My hubby likes to juice veggies once in a while.
We watched a documentary on Netflix Saturday night and it was pretty good: Hungry for Change. Good perspective on what's wrong in the American diet.
I love seeing that Lilly face in your avi, she is too cute!Julia

Well so far today i ran 4.19 miles and was almost killed on the interstaet by some crazy person who had to cut across two lanes of traffic to hit his exit. He cut right in front of me..i had to pull over i was so shaken but i managed to make it to the sale at Kohls so it's all good.
Later today it's kettlebell time and some yoga..also i hope to finish a book i have been reading i am thinking of starting Under The Dome by Stephen King next...i have not read anything by him in long time..Daily Journal

Nice workout Vanessa! Ah glad you were able to avoid an accident, people are idiots. Kohl's is awesome, they probably mail me a coupon every week, but jeez once I get in that place I find I want to buy every freaking thing lol. I have to withhold my email address when they ask or else they'll send me more coupons and things will get out of control lol.

Well Brittany made it home in one piece and we have had a nice visit so far. We had to take her to get new glasses ( she lost her other pair) and by the Verizon store. We had to change the number on her iPhone and something was not working right..then to Starbucks...lol
She will be here until Monday and then going to spend time with her boyfriend. Steve is leaving to go visit his mom on Thursday in Florida so it will be me and Lilly from Thursday to Sunday. I see Netflix and Mudslides in my future...lol
Let's see yesterday i ran 4.62 miles and today will be more of the same..

Good Morning..
Boy did we have some bad weather last night. It hit about 5:30pm. Rain,thunder,wind..poor Lilly was scared to death so Steve and I spent most of the night holding her
I took yesterday off from working out and took Brittany out shopping and then she had lunch with sperm donor(her dad)
He really upsets me..see as most of you know i got pregnant we got married lasted two years i divorced him he did not see Brittany again until she was 13 and did not contact me to see her again until a week before her 23rd birthday.
What upsets me the most is when he came back this time it was after whatever woman he was with kicked him out after he helped her raise her two children. So he was spending time and money on someone else child. He did this i believe because he knew i was ok but still it's your child. It's something i still don't get but i can't get past my anger to say anything. So after him getting back in touch with her they have dinner or lunch maybe every couple of months. Brittany is not comfortable with it but she doesn't live in town so she knows it not something she has to do very often.
The main thing that bothers me is that he has never offered any help with her college. When we divorced i had it put in that i wanted no child support in exchange for i could control when he saw her. The reason i did this is when we split he was heavy into drugs and i did not trust him alone with her. The last time they were together without me he took her to the lake got drunk and she got 2nd degree burns. His mother went insane on him.
So he see her from time to time throws 20-50 dollars at her and some sob story about how bad his life is. OMG you are in your last 40 grow up. I hate nothing more than someone who can't admit the mistakes they have made in their past.
I know i made a mistake marrying him but something good did come out of it. I have a wonderful daughter and for that i will always me thankful to him. I just wish he could grow up and be more of a friend to Brittany because the father time has passed.
Sorry about that but it was just something i needed to get off my chest today..
Now on with other things..
So i went for my run this morning 5.45 miles and i plan on some yoga and kettlebells this afternoon after my haircut.
It was 49 for a high yesterday with grey skies and wind for most of the day until the storms hit now today is 65* and sunny
Don't worry it will be 49 again by Thursday. Yes living in SC you never know
You all have a wonderful day and thanks for checking inDaily Journal

Ugh. Bad parents come in all shapes and sizes, don't they? My honey's ex is something else. She was deemed a "certified lunatic" by the court and received a 2-year bench order for psychiatric care. She stole their kids' college fund to buy a car; that was the last straw for honey. And my mom is a piece of work. *Sigh* Oh well.
Way to go with the running! I think it's great that little Lilly associates your and Steve's as safe! Dawwwww...hug the scared little pup. Hey, can you post another pic or two of her?~TEAM AMAZON~ Sisterhood of Iron

Hi Vanessa
Sorry about your deadbeat ex. Here are the two big things I took away from counseling trying to come to terms with my parents ....
1. You can't control what people say or do, you can only control how you react to it.
2. Dysfunctional people call pull you into a swirling pit of negativity and stress......either set specific boundaries and stick to them, or say goodbye.
I think if your ex was so neglegent in seeing his own daughter then the idea of helping with her education probably never crossed his mind ... plus, people like that usually use things like "helping" as ammo, and you really don't need that.
Have fun with your daughter!!!!Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

Swooshie~You are so right. I doubt helping has ever crossed his mind. One of the main reason i don't speak to him is i don't want to go back to the person i use to be if that makes any sense. I have grown and feel so much better about life in general. As bad as thing were between us i had always hoped he would grow up and be a better person for Brittany but i see that will never be. At least now she is an adult an can make decide for herself if she want to see him or not..thankfully now i do not have to be a part of it..
Ricki- I wish i had a great childhood but as you know i did not..i am happy to say i made sure Brittany life after the age of two was almost perfect. I think childhood is a time in your life where you should br taken care of and not have to worry about a thing..lord knows when you grow up it all changesDaily Journal

Good Afternoon,
Well thankfully i lived through my fun 7am grocery shopping at Walmart. Nothing like a trip there to make you feel better about yourself...
So Steve is leaving tomorrow to go visit his mom in Florida. I would go but they live in a small retirement community and his siter is coming down too so there really won't be any room. (See that is the excuse i use to make it sound good so i don't have to go) I really hate to stay at someones house. I have my routine and when i am away it gets messed up besides i don't want to get run down by a golf cart while i am out running. I love Steve but i do enjoy my time alone. It's nice to get up and have the whole house and day to yourself to do whatever you want..
Let's see so this morning i ran for 4.25 miles and i will do some yoga in a few minutes..
Here is my workout from yesterday..
