About where should 2200 calories a day take my weight to?

I am a 41 year old male; 264 lbs; 5'8" tall. I am exercising at least 4-5 days a week on my elliptical for about 20 minutes. I have decreased my calorie intake to 2200 per day. I know everybody is different, but about what weight should this calorie intake take me to?

Too many variables to answer. What's your maintenance amount? Have you calculated your tdee? Have you lost any weight since starting the 2200 calories? What's your long term goal?

My TDEE is about 3300. My maintenance is about 2700. I just started the 2200 about 2 days ago. My long term goal is 175 LBS.

If your TDEE is about 3300, than your maintance is not 2700, its 3300.

Tdiguy I'm so glad I finally found someone who would give me about how many calories they were eating. Thank you. When you were 235 LBS; how many calories were you eating?

I never counted....but if i were you id start 3000 at least and gauge the progress...1lb a week your on the right track, Its not a race slower the better muscle prevention and less chance of loose skin.
