This. You can easily play pick up games of any sport for next to nothing. Even if you can't afford a baseball bat/gloves. use a broom handle and tennis ball if you are in that poverty of an area...its still the same. If you aren't doing the sport 100%, then it doesn't really matter where you have to skimp on as long as you are basically playing the same. Don't have bases for baseball? grab 4 trash can lids. Need goals for soccer? space out two objects. Sure you will have to chase the ball down if you don't have a net, but who cares.
Also this back and fourth of Americans vs rest of the world on American Football vs. Soccer (football) is dumb. I never officially played soccer as a kid, but played pick up games with friends and it was fun as hell. I didn't play soccer because it was either played during baseball or football season (cant remember) I personally love watching the NFL and I am sure at least 25% of the people bashing it would enjoy it if they picked a team to follow and actually gave it a solid 16 games (1 season) to follow. I cannot get into soccer by watching it on tv..but I am sure if I was at one of those stadiums that has 100 thousand fans I would have a phucking blast there. Every sport has their pussies in it that do fake dives, ect...but if we are going to say that American football is a tougher sport than soccer (football)...then technically it is even MORE ridiculous when a player fakes an injury or trips on purpose or bitches about a no call penalty on a play where there clearly was no penalty.
Phucking get over it..the fact that all of you waste so much time arguing, thread after thread, day after day is just a waste of your time and energy. In the end what you are arguing is like arguing religion or politics with someone, you will not change their opinion.

I love football (soccer) but i see the americans pov. The find it boring becuase they are forced to watch the soccer american league which is pretty crap.
Brb half empty stadia
Brb crap players
Brb no stars
If beckham can go there at his age and declining level and be THE star for 4 years then the laegue must be low standard.
My US misc brothers, watch the English prem league on a regular basis, especially Super Sundays. It will be an eye opener. Even better, go to any game in EUROPE. The atmosphere and level of play is pretty amazing.
I tried the superbowl. The most exciting thing was the lights going out.
My american mates love the super bowl. U know why?? The fukking commercials at half time. Very sad sport if thats the highlight lads.
Sad

To be honest I think its great American hate it. American influence has already ruined the sport "Calcio moderno" is thanks to American sports capitalism. The players are nowhere near as good as the past 2 previous generations because they play with plastic balls, plastic balls ordered by Fifa to score more goals to appease Americans. Except it's made defenders worse and exaggerated the abilities of every modern forward (Messi, Christina, Van Persie, Rooney). Also the whole idea of american popularity, I remember years ago some dude said "**** Americans liking it, can you imagine how they'ed screw the game, transferring Ronaldinho(in his prime) then building it all around money rather than the sport". Truth. Then the culture would revolved around big name players in an Americanized football, which I do not want.

Its true, European football is filled with a bunch of diving pussies, its pretty much the thing I dislike most about the sport. Teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, heck a lot of the English, Spanish and Italian teams dive. It's disgraceful. However I still love the sport and will continue to watch it. To not respect the sport because of diving is a joke, there is a ton of skill required, its more than just "poverty ball". Also those complaining about how long it takes to score, take a look at baseball, that chit is the epitome of boring as fuk. I could watch a 5 day cricket test match and not get bored, but baseball is horrible.

When soccer has 6 foot 7 freaks of nature that run a 4.4 40 time, then come talk to us and tell us how soccer is superior to American football and how much harder soccer is.
Also nothing even compares to the intensity and passion of the NHL playoffs.
EDIT**
I meant 6 foot 7 300+lb dudes from American football

Football is harder. It requires more skill to do something with your feet than it does with your hand.
To be an American footballer you need to be three things. Fat, black and able to run. Where's the skill behind that? The coach dictates every play anyway so there isn't even any thought behind it. All you need to do is run and jump into another player, not even attempting to tackle him.☆☆☆υк ¢яєω☆☆☆
