I got really good feedback on my leg video so thought I would post me doing 315lbs on bench tonight. I weighed in at 152.5lbs (frustrated on weight). This lift is my 4th set coming off of 235, 205,185, 135.
I super setted after this video and got 35 at 135lbs which is an all time high as well as the bench press at 315lbs.
Feedback please.

A few fingers lightly on the bar during the lift. Does it help in the actual physical lift "a bit". Yes, but strictly just "a bit". If he had all his fingers/palms etc underneath the bar etc then of course that's a different matter.
Me personally, a new lift record is when the direct assistance of your spotter is not involved because that's when you're really managing it physically as well as mentally. If the spotter is having to help me lift the bar off the rack and/or has any contact with it during the rep, that to me is work in progress.
However, you were going for a new lift, of course you did the right thing by having a spotter assisting you and from I could make out he was assisting more in giving you the mental boost than physical assistance when it came to the actual lift. You did good man, repped. That was still 315lb you were tackling there and considering your body weight as well job well done in my book brother.Last edited by AdamTrue85UK; 02-05-2013 at 02:24 AM.
