Iron porn: hot chelation action, covered in molasses...

Well, amateur porn due to my camera's poor quality. This is after a couple months sitting in the solution, with an occasional scrub. This plate had none of it's original paint remaining.

What was the solution you used?

    I embedded for you

It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

4 parts water to 1 part molasses. The internet suggested 4:1 or 10:1, so as the water evaporated I just dumped more in to keep the level about the same. I've done three plates so far, and the solution is still working.

    Thanks for the embed.

Sweet pics! Are you over on IH?
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

No. I was very interested in the content but the registration wall & mods=gods stuff turned me off. I came here from the part of the internet where trolls breed & being on-topic is actually off-topic.

Ok, on-topic/off-topic suggests you have more experience than you let on, but no worries. Post more pr0n, just don't try and sell anything. Equipment forum is an easy place to be and the mods are fairly tolerant, and good guys.

Couple of months seems like a ****loads of time. Don't other things work faster, such as coca cola or citric acid?

Or CLR, a wire wheel on a drill, yeah. I wanted to preserve any remaining finish, plus my Pop's a chemist:

Me: "Is there a way to re-deposit the oxidized iron onto the plate?"
    Pop: "Yes!"
