The Bear Jew
Saw 325, was expecting 10, maybe 15. Nope, 30. Wish I could squat with that narrow stance.
Holy **** that 2nd video had me dying, lmao. Wtf Platz. "Push harder, kill me!"

Tom Platz, King of squats, King of legs!!
PS: Just funny how we were always told, "Don't bounce at the bottom of the squats" and then you see Platz...

Some kind of machine that fella. High rep squats are the worst thing you can do in the gym. 30 reps with that weight, followed by another set of 20, its impressive.
Also he looks like his body was designed to squat.

this FTW... I do 20 rep squats every week, and it's not even with half that weight. by the end i'm DEAD, not much point in even doing more lifting. what a beast!

Tom Platz sure is a legend and big inspiration. His lust and desire to squat and move heavy weights while maintaining his smooth squat form with those developed legs.. man no other can motivate me more to squat and train legs than him.

I'd have to guess that was shot after he retired, maybe 91-92, have you not seen his 5 plates for 23? In an old interview he said his best was 615 for 15...

I was wondering about that too. I think basically 275 introduced some heavier weight to his legs and woke up his nerves. Then it was ON after that.

Looks like it was shot around 85-86. One of my old training partners was in the background. Those were the Joe Weider Muscle Camps held in California.

He was so passionate about squats and legs. I respect that.
