What do you do with your stuff at festivals?

I've neve rbeen to a festival before and I'm planning on going to one in the summer. I just wondered though, what do you do with all your chit you have with you when everyone you're with is going to see a band or something? Like clothes, alcohol etc. Do you just leave it in your tent and hope no cheeky kunt steals it?
