GG is right, but his extremely unwarranted hype brings with it big dollars, but as you know, his hype train just derailed. What a smart move by GG, he's been nothing but
a disaster since he left.
BTW, GG being so pissed with Overeem, do you think they would have contacted the commissions and detailed his PED abuse in the hopes of bringing him down?

And he certainly challenged himself when he fought up a division.

Yeah, no one in the MW division can strike for sh*t.
And Silva wouldn't (or hasn't) clowned around with any of those guys.
Vitor... Sonnen... Hendo... did anyone see him dropping his hands against those guys? Of course not... because he realized that these guys are quality fighters who could hurt him.
An undersized Maia (with no hands), and 2 washed up "hockey fighters" in Griffin and Bonnar are a different story altogether.
Let's not pretend that Anderson drops his hands and plays the fool during EVERY fight.

He had his hands at his sides with his chin forward when he KOd Vitor with a teep. A teep.
He had his hands down throwing round kicks and hip punches at Sonnen in the first fight.

Yeah he did. Hands down and chin up when Vitor tried a flurry on him and didn't even come close to landing anything, and his hands were down when he KO'd Vitor with the front kick. Hands down and chin up when he made Chael whiff so hard on the spinning backfist that he fell to his doom. Hands down after Hendo caught him with a right in the 2nd round daring him to go for the kill and taking him apart when he got wild and started swinging - I could be exaggerating a bit on this last one as I haven't seen the fight in years but as of now that's how I recall it going down.

I throw spinning sh*t
Rutten explained it pretty well in his analysis, I thought:
“because he has a glass jaw, that’s why Overeems team GG changed his weight and his fighting style after he lost his last fight against Kharitonov”.
From that moment on he would only throw “single attacks”, meaning, there will always be at least ONE hand on his jaw! ...
I think the reason he lost is that he steered away from his team (GG), where a guy like Gokhan Saki would work circles around him in training, you NEED guys like that to train with because now he steered away from the “one strike attacks” and from “always having at least one hand on his jaw”, he actually didn’t have ANY hands at his jaw?...
He steered away from his “winning combination”. He started throwing combinations and that will open him up for counters. I believe in training (wherever he trains now) that he’s probably the best guy there and that nobody really poses a threat to him. Think about it, because that could be the only reason for him to steer away from what he used to do, from what he used to "NEED TO DO" otherwise he would get floored in training because of the talent he trained with.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

I wasnt criticizing him for not fighting at heavyweight, its just stupid to make the comparison between Reem and Silva vs Anderson and the weak MW division.

Just remember the MW division wasn't weak when silva got there. Franklin had 8 wins in a row and had held the belt for a couple fights before his loss to Silva. Hendo has always been a top fighter at almost any weight class.

Bigfoot was seconds away from being KO'd by Mike Kyle. Andy has made more dangerous strikers than Kyle look stupid.
Reem should've had a much, much easier time evading and countering a slow, uncoordinated, plodding grappler with KO power as his only striking virtue than Andy has evading and countering legit strikers with speed, explosiveness, and accuracy.
