Reems the most overrated striker in MMA. K1 does not equal MMA dominance and we've seen it before. There's a half a dozen hws who could beat reem on his feet.

Dutch kickboxing and amazingly powerful technique, not doing your best to emulate Silva. Gotta rag on the Blackzillians last night, both guys came in chubby, underestimated opponents, underperformed, and eventually underachieved. It's gonna be 2 or 3 fights before these guys are gonna be in the title picture again, could take years.

I agree that Reem doesn't move as fluidly as Anderson. It also looked to me that Reem doesn't control his distance as well as Silva. He looked awkward and it was only a matter of time before Silva connected with something.

It's because Anderson actually dodges the punches and literally watches them go past him. Reem just ducked, wait a couple seconds, pop back up and repeat. After 10 minutes Bigfoot finally realized all he was doing was ducking and then waited for him to do it again and tee off on his face.

I believe Overeem has all the tools to be a champion in the heavyweight division.
He has a great ground game, a great stand up, good take down defense, and great in the clinch.
Overeem needs to cut the cocky **** out and fight EVERY opponent as if they're a killer, get some cardio and get his team to put a LOT of pressure on him during practice so he learns how to handle it. Every time **** starts to get real he panics and doesn't know what to do, we've seen it happen to him earlier in his career. You would see him doing great in a fight and some times dominating and when things go bad for even less than 30 seconds he falls to pieces and gets his ass stomped.

I still believe he can be a champ though.

It looked to me like he actually dodged the Bigfoots punches pretty easily for the first two rounds, but it was a different story onced he gassed. If Silva was carrying around 265lbs I'm not sure he would be able to avoid everything as well as he does now without eventually getting clipped. There is a reason no heavyweight has ever defended the title more than like 2 times in the UFC.

I think if Reem changes camps to Jacksons or AKA they would be able to help him improve ... I'm not 100% sold on the blackzillians camp.

I don't think Reem is cutout for a good team oriented camp plus there is no way in the world he would be accepted into AKA(Cormier and Velasquez there).

Even Jackson has Arlovski and Travis Browne.

Plus I think he's kind of arrogant and self-absorbed in a way that would make him uncoachable now.. like the Allen Iverson of MMA.
