Recommend gun sites for reps
Looking to get my second handgun. Already own an XDm 4.5" 9mm.
I want to purchase a Kimber Custom II. Local shop is having a hard time procuring one.
Need a trust worthy site, that isn't going to charge an insanely inflated amount.

I REPORT supplement reps for any B.S. since MOST (not all) of you are self-promoting scum bags

Decent guns, a bit over priced and their customer service is mediocre from all that I have heard.

Not many places have it in stock but these guys are legit and I've purchased parts and firearms from them before.

They have an amazing reputation of turning out garbage; yet people keep saying they bought a nice gun. I think it's because they don't want to admit they paid a bunch of money for a pos, so they just keep lying to them selves saying they bought something nice in hopes they'll eventually start to believe it.

Thank god, I thought you were going to bring up a good point, glad you didn't.
I have 2 permits coming in this week, most likely getting 1911 and probably another 9mm or .22
Do you think I should consider Colt rather than Kimber?

I would with out a doubt buy a Colt over every other "cheap" 1911 out there. By cheap I mean under 1500. Springfield makes a good gun too; my only complaint with them is that their frame steel comes from Brazil. If the serial number starts with a "N" it means the gun was made in brazil, if it's prefaced with a "NM" it means the frame was forged in brazil but machined and made in the USA. I would give good consideration to a "NM" loaded if you can find one. They make great base guns to gut an build up. The TRP is a great gun as well. Also, railed 1911's are the work of the devil. If Moses wanted a rail on the 1911 he would have put one there in 1911.

Ok I appreciate the advice. The rail on a 1911 would see no use from me. I just enjoy shooting at the range. I'm really just emerging into the scene, did a fair amount of reading on my XDm before purchasing and really enjoy shooting it.

pretty sure that lawler has the full sized loaded springfield that you are looking at. I have the springfield champion operator, 4" w/rail and its a great gun. I also have the kimber ultra carry 2 which has been a great gun too. 0 complaints. If you think this is a gun you may keep forever I'd kind of agree with mrgoodtimes about considering a springfield TRP but those are 1300+

The Kimber and Springfield I posted earlier both seem to be around $850 on PSA. Com
It's honestly going to be a choice between those 2. And then I will use my second permit for either a .22 or another 9mm. Prob a Sig or something

I'd love some insight between choosing the Kimber or Springfield 1911 that I posted earlier

Personally, I'd go with the Springfield. That's a really good price.

dont let someone pick for you, it will be based on 2nd hand information. A couple of things to consider are:
do you care if its made in the USA?
# of mim parts used in each gun respectively which may or may not matter to you.
warranty from the respective companies.
really can't go wrong with either one but whichever one you pick make sure you look up the part # on slickguns to make sure you are getting the best deal.

Whether you live in Cali or not, Calguns.net is one of the biggest gun forums that exists and many people from all over the country are members there. I would definitely check it out, great group of guys, many current and former LEO/military and tons of knowledge. Due to our insane gun laws, it forces us to be more active than anyone else.
