Hey guys, Long story short! I have been lifting the past 5 months, I was doing each muscle group once a week but changed to all pros routine after xmas, I never cared to much for weighing myself as it can get you down, so my focus was to just eat as healthy as i could (not a perfect diet but way better then before) and to train consistently!
Anyhow, i was 82kg when i started lifting and would been skinny fat, I weighed myself recently and iam almost 93kg? Yet i def look thinner/flater/less fat or whatever you wanna call it, Iam pretty sure is certainly not all muscle, in fact, i dont feel ive built much muscle at all but i DO look better obviously then when i started out!!
My worry is that at 93kg, shouldnt i be big? i dont mean muscular but 93kg is alot of weight, my mate is 86kg and is pretty big/solid muscle wise and we are both about the same height.... i feel i should cut but worried ill look like a twig, my body fat does seem less then it was but still alot higher then i want it to be!!
Any body here that can relate or give some advice or theyre own experience?

I will upload some now, i havent taken many pics but managed to find one before and one after , sadly theyre isnt much difference between the two, the first is about a month into lifting and the second with the towel around me was 2 weeks ago

Any explanation as to why/how i could put on over 10kg in weight and yet body composition still looks the same? shouldnt i of got fatter or more muscular, one or the other?
Exaclty the same thing is happening to me lol, I've been training for 2 and a half weeks now, I do cardio like 3-4 times a week and like everytime i go on the scale my weight is gone up, and when i look at my self.... i look skinner lol.
Thanks guys, I just cant figure out how i have put on a significant amount of weight yet look the same lol ... i should at least look fatter or more muscular, I regret not doing all pros routine from the beginning cause maybe i would have some muscle to show for it if i did... where do i go from here, should i cut or what?
Muscle is more dense than fat so you may have put on muscle but with the layer of fat it's not noticeable...
I'm gonna just assume your eating and training right.
Define training right? I dont mean that in a smart way but as a noob, once iam lifting weights heavy enough etc then i should see growth right.... Iam happy with my training, i train fasted because i train first thing in the morning so dont always feel as energetic as i could do perhaps but iam still happy, my workouts are certainly not easy... and eating wise, pretty good, not perfect but pretty good, bear in mind iam not striving to compete, i just want to look good
Really when you start lifting any half minded weight trainning will work to some extent. Optimally you should try a program like lyles upper/lower bulking routine or ripptoes starting strength 5x5

Do you think i should cut? or keep goin as iam? I want to cut to be honest but do not want to be skinny but i would imagine id see changes more noticeably if u cut and then bulked back up? At the mo i feel iam building no muscle yet i must be, i just look like iam not and its kinda killing my motivation, I know 5 months isnt all that long but expected better progress, although iam wondering did i waist the first 4 months doing one muscle group a week and it just wasnt suited to me?
Check out the nutritional thread by emma leigha. I'm on phone so I can't link it. Make sure you're hitting your minimal protein and fat requirements and that you're eating in a slight surplus daily
Keep doing what you're doing. You probably traded some fat + water weight for some muscle, which weighs more. I can't tell any difference between these pics.
For your question there is a simple answer. I had the same problem as i perceived it. Fat is lighter than muscle and weight can be deceiving. From my experience it worked like this : I did cardio and trained with weights. Every day a 25 minutes fast paced walk on a threadmill and 4x a week weights. There is no possible way i could get fatter with this exercise. I noticed (for example this month) a loss of 2 cm on every body part but my weight never really changed, approximately 1kg. It was because i gained a bit of muscle and burned some fat and overall body looks the same. Don't get alarmed, just continue with your training, you probably just replaced some fat with muscle, thats why you gained weight :P
Are u squatting or deadlifting? U could be putting more muscle on ur legs than ur upper body's and it doesn't show in the pics. Happened to me on starting strength.

Squats, I def feel i have put on some mass in my chest since starting but aint seeing that in the pics, i think my diet needs to be looked more so then by routine
