    wrist injury..... !!! please help!

    hi guys.

im currently cutting and on a keto diet...i carb up one day a week and other 6 days under 10 grams of carbs... im running a 600calorie deficit too...

unfortunately i have sprained my wrist and probably cant do any upper body workout for 2 weeks..

should i carry on with the diet and low intensity cardio or will that cause my body to burn muscle???

its soo frustrating picking up injuries!!!

    looking forward to ur replies

If you're on the keto diet, as long as you're taking in enough fat, you shouldn't have to worry too much about losing muscle. That's the entire basis of the keto diet. From what I've heard, if you drop off of it, even for a day, it's rough trying to get back into it, but I've never gone full keto, only paleo.

Getting injured on a cut (well, any time) is frustrating. I am dealing with a lingering elbow injury myself, know that feel. As long as you take in enough protein you shouldn't lose much muscle.

Sounds like a perfect time to do some legs and core exercises that too many people are neglecting. Take it slow with the wrist and start light or wrap it up to support. Re-injuring it by going hard again too soon has been a problem for me with my shoulder in the past. Good luck with the recovery.

Actually, when you're on an injury. I'd actually eat really close to maintenance. If you're going to keep on cutting with minimal exercise, you'll lose more muscle.

Well you can still do Squats with the Safety Squat Bar, Hack Squats, Leg Presses, Hamstring Curls, etc (the list goes on).

I understand fully your frustration as injuries get in our way to achieve our goals.

    Have a good recovery!
