I have something like that - a jack dempsy fish. Had a big tank in the basement corner, semi-abandoned it during a bad time. All the fish died in it, water was crappy, I did extract them. Left it for years and the water slowly evaporated. One time I was down there and saw something move in the tank.. realized the fuken fish was still in there alive. No food for years or anything, barely any water.

Scooped him out and made a new tank for him in the kitchen, renamed him to the immortal. Guys big as fuk too.
