Recently, nothing. I'm currently cycling off a lot of supplements right now, stims and ALCAR included. I just had 750mg caps and would take it in the morning. I even tried 750mg in the morning and another 750mg later in the afternoon.
CILTEP is a theory that's relatively new in which the ultimate goal is to increase cAMP molecules in the brain with 3 simple ingredients. First is Forskolin, which we all know increases cAMP. Since PDE4 receptors block cAMP in our brains, a PDE4 inhibitor supplement is needed (Artichoke Extract). If we inhibit our PDE4 receptors and increase our cAMP, the idea is we will be more attentive, energetic and productive and our memory capabilities should increase. The last ingredient is the icing on the cake and is meant to be a dopamine increaser. There are a lot of ways you can go about increasing dopamine levels, but a lot of people have had success with L-phenylalanine. Standard dosing protocol is something like:
- 500mg Artichoke Extract
- Forskolin (I've seen ranges from 4mg-20mg)
- L-Phenylalanine (I've seen ranges from 500mg-1,000mg)
I've yet to try it but my ingredients are en route (extremely cheap as well). I'll report in here when I get a grasp of the effectiveness of this stack. For what it's worth, my good friend tried it yesterday and said it was the best nootropic stack he has ever tried [and he has tried it all].

I take 10mg vinpocetine and 100mg phosphaditylserine in the same cup as 1g vitamin C, 4g potassium gluconate, creatine, BA and MSM. I then take my vitamin D, fish oil, zinc-copper and multi.
Is the vitC going to destroy everything before it gets used?Egg foo young, En lo mein, so come on baby and have it just the same woooooynga

That's still a fairly conservative dose, I thoroughly enjoyed around 3g/daily. After a few months you go fill wizard mode
I think this is making a lot of assumptions about neurochemistry but it's a nice idea. If anything I'd wager L-dopa a much better option for dopamine. Citicoline is also a nice option there and its multitude of effects on the brain are ballin but it is pricey sadly
Vinpocetine is a weak choice nootropic wise, did not get Andy's seal of approval=do not want lol
It is likely to cause more harm than good essentially as a potential to cause of headaches with little rewardNSCA CSCS

Will do.
Also, there is a study that Aniracetam effects are altered when LTP is induced:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9555053
This seems to be validated by users reporting negative interactions with stacking Aniracetam + CILTEP. This is one major reason why I've chosen the Pramiracetam route over the other racetams.
You're absolutely right. But it is a very interesting theory and worth a try at the very least.
Mucuna Pruriens have been used successfully in CILTEP. I'll probably dabble in both to see what is more effective.Last edited by xLGx; 02-04-2013 at 09:09 PM.

Here's a playlist of animation videos that explains long term potentiation, pretty interesting. Only like 3min long max.
Not sure how to embed a playlist:

i've tried quite a few nootropics...
piracetam - exellent for memory and creativity and focus and but needs to be dosed higher than other racetams.
sulbutiamine - gave me a non-jittery focused energy boost and great mood lifter IMO the best alternative to dmaa that i've found so far, tastse horrible though.
L-theanine - i used this to come down off phenibut, is non addictive and has potent anti anxiety effects.
phenibut - great anxiety killer, mood lifter very simular to benzodiazepines.
picamilon - great for anti anxiety aswell, also gives me a great improvement in mood and focus.
Alcar - gives me energy and great focus and memory.
L-dopa - gives me great focus and lift in mood and energy
phenylethylamine - great focus at low doses and at high doses gives me a good euphoric buzz simular to ecxtacy.
this is what i've tried and loved them all, now i've had recent interest in aniracetam and pramiracetam at what dose is best to take these two and do they taste ok? should i cap them or is it ok to mix with juice or diet soda?(i did find bulk piracetam powder fine to be mixed with juice or pepsi)

Just wanted to thank everyone for the helpful insight I have received, thanks to the thread I decided to pick up some Prami with my latest purchase. Gotta order some more ALCAR any advice as if I should should pick up some Alpha GPC or Huperzine? I debating as to which one I know they are completely different things I just have a lot of choline citrate still but taking it at higher does kind of made me feel depressed where to lower dose of Alpha GPC was pleasant lol. Thanks again.
My secret? Texting between sets.

Phenylalanine is more upstream/regulated in dopamine production than both tyrosine and l-dopa. Why would you take phenylalanine?
Artichoke extract won't affect brain PDE4.
Regardless, the whole theory is dumbassery because one cannot accurately predict the cognitive effects of increasing cAMP, which is a molecule that is upstream to a whole host of different effectors depending on the brain region.

Luteolin does, which is extracted from artichoke. It non-selectively inhibits PDE1-5.
L-Phenylalanine is just a conservative choice for someone just starting out on CILTEP since it's an amino acid that the body is already used to metabolizing to make dopamine. Should this not be enough for you, there are plenty of other supplements out there that can increase dopamine you can plug in as a replacement.

I actually like Drake. Take Care is a good album, Thank Me Later, and his first mixtape as well. Old Wayne was good too he's a joke now though.
There is going to be a lot of interindividual variables to this. Start slowly and work up to see what you can handle, like cjwav said he is now on 5 which equates to 1250 of potassium nitrateKush & OJ
