Thailand and Vietnam are both amazing. Cambodia is cheaper than both for sure... its on par with Laos when it comes to costs.
The cultures have similarities. The people are In Cambodia are more easy going I think. Vietnam has more natural beauty and Thailand I find is more dangerous/easier to get scammed. However laws arent enforced in Cambodia. If I got pulled over by cops on my bike it was simply a $1 bribe for not having a Cambodian license.
You could literally kill someone there and if they werent anyone important, a solid bribe would easily get you out of trouble SRS.
You can also arrange to have someone killed for under $100 SRS.

In on Cambodia thread.....
Travelled through Cambodia 2 years ago on my tour of S.E Asia.. didn't see much of it (would have liked to stay longer).. Siem Reap (Angkor Wat), Phnom Penh, and a coastal area I cant remember the name of - which was a little bit sleazy (not in a good way) for my liking..
Did you got to Heart of Darkness club in Phnom Penh OP?... alot of shti goes down in there.. some nice bishes to..
I met a survivor of S21 (concentration camp) and bought his book.. the stuff that happened there was beyond horrific..
this guy has been through more then anyone can imagine..
I have loads of other pics if you're interested - but as I mentioned I only spent a week there then travelled up to Vietnam..
Also did you go to the russian market?.. BRB buying a kilo of weed over the counter for $50, brb buying RPG's and AK47's - fuking mental
Cambodia in my experience was a country of contrasts.. fascinating but pretty horrifying..
they call it the wild west of SE Asia... once you've been you can see why..Last edited by dosman123; 01-30-2013 at 10:26 PM.

Place seems like paradise compared to the mundane lifestyle of america. No, I do not give a fuk about prestigious crap like ferraris or huge houses or huge televisions

Rent was $100 a month. In my house I had cable tv, own room with double bed, hot shower etc and everything that I had in the Western world. I got all of my food and drink free from work.
I earnt 5% commission of whatever the bar made that night (usually $600-1000)
If you are just backpacking, rooms are roughly $5-10 a night for a comfortable place, Beers are $1, meals from $2-$5.

Awesome manl
Yeah I went to the Russian market amongst many other markets where you can buy crazy ****.
Heart of Darkness is one weird joint for sure. I was in the toilet taking a leak and had a guy come straight up to make and grab my cawk! Full hand wrapped around it. This happened to me again in the same night. I lost my **** but smart enough to to start a fight with a Cambodian.
I lived in SIhanoukville probably the sleazy area you talked about. Only the main beach is sleazy... there are some awesome areas where I lived.

Yeah mate I moved to Canada for a year when I was 18 by myself. Lived in the Rockies. Other than all the other Aussies in Canada is was unreal
Bang on man. Everyone is so happy because they don't have to work the next day. Going out with strangers every day and meeting new people doesn't compare to anything.

Sianoukville!.. thats the one!.. yeah I didn't like it there much.. to many fat old western guys walking around with fuking Khmer kids.. I stuggled not to kick off with those scum bags.. shti is fuking wrong..
Anyway.. we went to some crazy pool party there to which was really good, and yeah we only saw some of that nasty shti around the beach area, the rest was cool.
lol'd at your expereince in that heart of darkness club.. we had to go through metal detectors to get in (both the airport walk through style and the hand held), yet there were a table of Khmers giving it the big one, who were blatantly carrying guns. It;s actually a nice club though, drinks are good and very cheap!! ($3-$4 for coctails!), alot of hookers, some gangsters and some backpackers, it was surreal.
